BOARD OF ZONING APPEALS JULY 11, 1979 PAGE 6
creating a need for a variance. To eliminate this, Ch airman Ledvina moved
to propose a ruling to clarify Ord. 62-33, Section 1225.02 that the Building
Department is directed to allocate the total allowable sign space for a
building among the individual units as follows: maximum square footage
allowed divided by total building frontage resulting in the square footage
allowed per frontage foot of each buil ding tennant.
Chairman Ledvina also suggested th at to avoid rear y ard variances
especially on cul-de-sac or odd shaped lots a minimum depth should be
included in the Ordinance. He proposed that.Ord. 77-127, Section 1157.01
should read: - -
Minimum Width, Depth, and Area in Residence District.
A. Same as Ord. 77-127
B. Same as Orda 77-127
C. In any Residence District the minimtun depth of any
lot shall be feet. The definition of lot
depth at section 1125.47 of the Zoning Code does
not apply in this matter. No point on the rear
property line (or lines if there are more than one)
shall be closer to any point on the front lot
Iine than feet.
This proposal was then discussed, and Building Commissioner Gundy advised
that he would work on the average depth size and report on it at the
next meeting.
Meeting was adjourned at 9:15 p.m.
D. Ledvina, Chairman
B. 0 ring ,
cording Secretary
