. - ? <br />? `• . <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />APRIL 4, 19 79 - MINUTES <br />.BOARD OF ZONIIIG APPEALS " <br />Chairman Ledvina called the meeting to order at 7; 30 p.m, <br />Present: Chairman Ledvina, C. Remmel, J. Fairfield, L. Horvath and <br />E. DeVoto. <br />Also Present: <br />Law Director M. Gareau, Buil ding Conmissioner Gim dy <br />Coumcilwoman Y. Petrigac, Cotmcilwoman J. Saringer, <br />and Recording Secretary B. Oring. <br />Review and Correction of Minutes: C. Remmel moved to approve the <br />Minutes of March 7, 1979 as written, seconded by L. Horvath and <br />approved imanimously. <br />Chairman Ledvina advised• the Board that Case ilumber A, on the• agenda <br />had been withdrawn by the. appellant Jack W. Belding. <br />1. Shell Oil Co., 23385 Lorain Rd. Request for variance (1133.13)0 <br />Request is for set back variance. This is a second request for a <br />-" reduced variance of only 7'. Violation of Ord. 62-33, Section <br />1174.02. Also, request for variance (1133.13)o Non-conforming <br />driveway. Violation of Ord. 62-33, Section 1131.04, Paragraph C. <br />Mr. Larry S. Turner, representing Shell Oil Co., explained the request. <br />This is a second request and the variance has been reduced to a 7t <br />aerial encroachment into the set back area. The non conforming drive- <br />way would be virtually impossible to change due to an underground <br />Ohio Bell Vault and utility polese It was suggested that for safety <br />reasons that the one exit be limited to an entrance only driveway <br />to channel the traffic flow. D. Ledvina moved that the request be <br />approved for a 7"variance for the hexagonal covering of the pump <br />area, and also the variance to allow the opening on Lorain Rd. to be <br />in non-conformity. with the Ordinance with direction to the Planning <br />Comni.ssion and Coimcil connnittees to review the driveway to see if it <br />can be brought into conformity, seconded by Mr. Horvath. Roll call on <br />motion Messrs. Ledvina, Horvath, DeVoto, and Remmel aye, Mr. Fairfield, <br />nay. Motion passed. Request granted. , <br />2. David W. Jonas, 23030 Marion Rd. Request for variance (1133.13). <br />Request two variances to rebuild e}dsting garageo Request 4'6" side <br />yard variance. Violation of Ord. 62-33, Section 1151.04. Paragraph C. <br />Also, request for 7' variance for distance between house and garage. <br />Violation of Ord. 62-33, Section 1151.04, Paragraph C. Mr. Ledvina <br />called all interested parties before the Board. The oath was ad- <br />ministered. It was pointed out that this request is merely to re- <br />build an existing garage. Mr. Horvath moved to grant both the -variances, <br />seconded by Mr. DeVoto, and imanimously approved. Request granted.
