1 <br />J <br />•1 <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />PLANNING COMMISSION <br />MINUTES - MAY 8, 1479 <br />I. ROLL CALL: Ch airman Bugala called the meeting to order at 8 p.m. <br />P resetn: R. Bugala, J. Brown, W. Ohman and B. Gorris. <br />J. Prokasy arrived at 820 p.m. <br />Absent: Da Ryan and J. Roberts <br />A1so Present: Law Director M. Gareau, Building Commissioner E. Gundy <br />Assistant City Engineer D. McDermott and Recording <br />Secretary B. Oring. <br />II. REVIEW AND CORRECTION OF r1INUTES: <br />The minutes of April 10, 1979, Item (g), under Building Department <br />request was omitted. Addendum submitted (added to last page). Mr. <br />Ohman moved to approve the addition of Section III, Item (g) of the <br />April 10, 1979 minutes seconded by J. Brown, and approved unanimously. <br />B. Gorris moved to approve the minutes of April 24, 1979, seconded by <br />Td. Ohman, and unanimously approved. <br />III. BiiILDING DEPARTMENT REQUESTS: <br />(a) Signs - No Items <br />(b) Olmsted Plaza Shopping Center, Great Pdorthern Blvd. (Phase 4-A) <br />Mr. Gimdy introduced the owner, Mr. Glazer, and the architect, Mr. <br />Ilongello and presented the plans for commercial stores on the north <br />side of Fisher Fazio. He advised that the parking is adequate and <br />that it conforms to the Ordinance. The property is for rental <br />but there are no tenants as yet. Building permits had been <br />applied for 5 years before but they were allowed to expire. <br />This plan is just a minor continu2tion of what is there now. <br />The plans were studied and discussed. B. Gorris rsoved to refer <br />Olmsted Plaza Shopping center (Phase 4-A) to the Architectural Review <br />Board, seconded by W. Ohman, and tmanimously approved. <br />(c) Olmsted Plaza Shopping Center, Great Northern Blvd. (Phase 4-B) <br />This building will be east of the Hudson Gas Station facing <br />Lorain Rd. and will also be used for retail stores. Mr. G1mdy <br />presented the plans, which were studied and discussed. As per <br />an agreement with the city when the first section was built, orx-- <br />of the eaisting exits will be closed and another is planned at <br />tne westerly end. The grade at this point will be less steep <br />than the existing drive. Parking is adequate. J. Prokasy moved
