r <br />, <br />PLANNING COMMISSION MAY 8, 1979 PAGE 2 <br />that Olmsted Plaza (Phase 4B) be referred to the Architectural <br />Review Board, seconded by Brian Gorris, and imanimously approved. <br />(d) Islamic Center of Cleveland, 3040 Clague Rd., The Islamic Center <br />was granted permission to build a Place of Worship in a resi- <br />dential area by the Board of Zoning appeals on May 2, 1979. <br />Mr. Hasan, Chairman of the Islamic Center9 Bill Davis, Architect, <br />and Walter Cleveland, Contractor presented the plans which were <br />studied and discussed. The driveways and parking are adequate. <br />This building will be used mainly for Sunday services and Friday <br />meetings, not for dailey school activities. There are presently <br />80 families attending the Center. Mr. W. Ohman moved to refer <br />the Islamic Center of Cleveland to the Architectural Board of <br />Review, seconded by J. Brown, and imanimously approved. <br />(e) Christ the King Church, 30635 Lorain Rd. - Proposal to enlarge <br />parking lot. Walter Gonska, representing Christ the King and <br />explained that this is a small addition to their exdsting parking <br />area, the plans were studied and discussed particularly the <br />drainage. W. Ohman moved to approve the plans of Christ the f:ing <br />Lutheran Church subject to the review of the Engineering De- <br />partment, seconded by J. Brown, and tmanimously approved. <br />IV. NEi,1 DEVELOPrENTS AND SUBDIVISIONS: <br />N o I tems <br />V. COMMUNICATIONS: <br />Chairman Bugala received a letter from the Richard Seigel Associates <br />pertaining to Government's initiative in rehabilitation and estab- <br />lishing new areas in the cityo Also a notice that the Ohio Planning <br />Conference will be held P1ay 16, 17, and 18th. <br />VI. COMMITTEE REPORTS: <br />Bikeway Committee met Monday night and Mr. Ohman advised that there will <br />be a report next meeting. <br />Mr. Bugala will resubmit the Architectural Board of Review suggested <br />Guidelines for Submittal at a later meeting. <br />
