Ryan <br />moved to put the plans for the Robert Goold Plaza into committee, <br />seconded by J. Roberts, and unanimously approved. <br />(f) Walnut Ridge Condominiums, Kennedy Ridge and Columbia Roads. Plans <br />were approved in concept by the Architectural Board of Review at <br />the September 17, 1979 meeting. W. Ohman moved to put the Walnut <br />Ridge Condominiums in comnittee, seconded by D. Ryan, and unani- <br />mously approved. <br />IV. NEW DEVELOPMENTS AND SUBDIVISIONS: <br />No Itemsm <br />V. COMMUNICATIONS: <br />Ord. 79-118 proposal to vacate portion of Northern Avenue, east of <br />Porter and west of Burns Road. Councilman Wilamo'sky explained the <br />backgroimd of the proposed Ordinance. It was decided that the Com- <br />mi"ion would like a recommendation from the City Engineer, and also, <br />a map of the exact location of the street. J. Roberts moved to re- <br />fer Ordinance 79-118 to the Engineering Department and to request <br />that a map locating the area be submitted, seconded by B. Gorris, and <br />tmanimously approved. <br />Notice of ineeting of Housing Authority and Local Government Personel <br />on November 14 through 16 in Denver, Colorado <br />Letter of resignation from W. Ohman from the Planning Commission. _ <br />VI. NEW BUSINESS <br />No Items <br />VII. OLD BUSINESS: <br />R. Bugala reported that he attended the meeting with Council and the <br />Chamber of Commerce regarding Ordinance 79-88 on portable signs. The <br />issue was discussed with Counci]man Wilamosky and R. Parry, Chairman <br />of the Architectural Board of Review. The Chamber of Commerce felt <br />that the 14 day period per year was too.restrictive, and Council did <br />amend the Ordinance to permit portable signs for a period of 30 days <br />and now the amended Ordinance will be returned to Planning Commission <br />for their approvalo Chairman Parry advised that the Architectural <br />Board of Review was opposed to all portable signs with the possible <br />exception of a s,hort period of time only in conjuction with the open- <br />ing of a new business. CoLmcilman TJilomosky is planning to form a com- <br />mittee to study the entire sign ordinance and Chairman Bugala agreed <br />to serve on that committee.
