J. Roberts moved that the proposed rezoning request be placed in Conunittee and ask Regional Planning for their evaluation of the proposed change, seconded by J. Prokasy, and unanimously approved. J. Prokasy volunteered to assist Mr. Gorris with the Stud.y. Ord. 79-31: Changing height of fences from 4' to 5'. Previously ap- proved by Planning Commission on Juiie 26, 1979, but later fence height was amended to 4' by Council, and is now back before Planning Com- mission because Council has now amended the fence height again to 5t J. Prokasy moved to approve Ord. 79-81 as submitted, seconded by J. Brown, and unanimously app roved. VII. OLD BUSINESS: Ord. 79-118: Vacation. of Northern Ave. B. Gorris r.ioved to take Ord. 79-118 out of Committee, seconded by J. Roberts. Roll Call on motion: R. Bugala, B. Gorris, J. Roberts, J. Brown, J. Prokasy, aye. Mr. Perla abstained. Assistant City Engineer D. McDermott advised that he had been in contact with three neighbors of the area who had signed the petition and they were under the impression that the area to be vacated extended from Decker to Burns not just the segment described in the Ordinance. There were neighbors present who also agreed that they had wanted the entire undeveloped street vacated. The Engineering Department-has no plans to develop--the- street.. The portion -of the street from Burns east to -the Junior High School is being used as a walk-way to the school and should be considered separately. Council- man Wilamosky advised that he had requested that the legislation be retained in committee until the're- is clarification as to the intent of the petition.. J. Prokasy moved to approve Ord. 79-118 with a recomnen- dation to City Council that the Ordinance be amended by Council to in- clude a vacation of Northern from Burns Road to_ Decker Ave., seconded by J. Roberts. Roll call on motion: Prokasy, Roberts, Gorris, Brown and Bugala9 aye. Mr. Perla abstained. VIII. COMMLTTEE REPORTS: Siga Committee: Chairman Bugala attended the Long•Range Planning Commi- tee. He advised that they reviewed the areas of the Sign Ordinance that needed changing, and that on Nov. 12 they would meet and each give his concep t of how the Ordinance should be change d. IX.
