<br />PLANNING COMNLLSSION DECEMBER 11, 1979 PAGE .2 <br />Thesling was :;going to change his single residential home'-into an <br />office building and retain one residential apartment. His plans <br />were not complete but he is planning to enclose a porch and construct <br />a mansard roof. The Commission felt that more detailed plans should <br />be reviewed by the Architectural Board of Review. R. Bugala moved <br />that the Theisling Office Building Proposal be referred to the <br />Architectural Board of Review with the appropr•iarie detail, seconded <br />by J. Brown, and unanimously approved. <br />(d) TGI Friday (Restaurant), Great Northern P4all, Space D100. The <br />total area of the restaurant will be 6600 square feet, 5560 square <br />feet will be in the original mall area and a new addition will con- <br />sist of 1,040 square feet. Part of the planting area will be re- <br />moved and the plantings placed elsewheze, and about 5' of the ex- <br />isting 10' sidewalk will be removed. R. Perla questioned the <br />safety of a5' . sidewalk and was advised by Building Commissioner . <br />Gundy that it conformed to City Ordinances. There will only be <br />access to the restaurant from the outside, no access from the <br />mall, a glassed in area will be included so that there is a view of <br />the mall. R. Perla moved to refer TGI Friday to the Architectural <br />Board of Review with the request -that the board review the 5 foot <br />sidewalk in detail, seconded by B. Gorris, and unanimously approved. <br />(e) Police Station, 27243 Lorain Rd. 6' privacy screen for security <br />(added to Agenda). Building Commissioner Gimdy explained that <br />this will be facing Lorain Rd. and will be 233 fte in length. J. <br />Roberts moved to refer the Police Station fence addition to the <br />Architectural Board of Review, seconded by R. Perla, and tmani- <br />mous ly app rove d. <br />IV. NEW DEVELOPMENTS AND SUBDIVISIONS: <br />L. Robinson Avenue Resubdivision. Combining of Block B-1 and part <br />of Sublot 16 of Candlelight Subdivision (Permanent Parcels Nos. <br />231-1-100 and 231-1-1) for the purpose of dedication as public <br />right-of-way. Located east off Walter Road at City's north cor- <br />porate line. Note: This item continued from the November 27, 1979 <br />Planning Commission Meeting. Assistant City Engineer D. McDermott <br />explained that the problems with deeding this portian of land to <br />Westlake for the roadway had been resolved, but that the Engineering <br />Department will want to review any construction plans before they <br />are approved. Law Director M. Gareau advised that there would be <br />no legal problems with the subdivision of this small segment of <br />land or with the owners deeding it to Westlake. However, he ad- <br />vised that the City of North Olmsted should not dedicate this as a <br />street. Mro Allen, attorney for Gibson Partners, explained that <br />after the subdivision is completed, they will draw up a deed to the <br />City of Westlake which will be held in trust until the improvements <br />of Robinson Dr. are completed, at which time the property will be <br />deeded to Westlake.
