CITY OF NORTH OLYISTED <br />PIsANNING COMMISSION <br />March 28, 1978 <br />I. Rol1 Call <br />Chairman Rafeld called the meeting to order at 8:00 p.m. <br />Present: Chairman Rafeld, Vice Chairman Roberts, Secretary Ryan, <br />Mrs. Brown and Messrs. Bugala and Prokasy. <br />Also Present: Building Commissioner Gundy, Assistant City Engin- <br />eer McDermott, Law Director Gareau, Recording Sec- <br />retary Hodgins and Robert M. Parry, Chr. Architec- <br />tural Review Board. II. Review and Correction of Minutes <br /> <br />Mrs. Brown moved minutes of ineeting held March 14, 1978 be approv- <br />ed as submitted. Mr. Roberts seconded, and motion passed. <br />IIIo Building Department Requests <br />Mr. Gundy distributed excerpts from tapes from Architectural <br />Review Board meeting held March 27, 1978. Items (a), (b), <br />(c), (d), and (e) in these minutes reflect recommendations <br />of Architectural Review Board. <br />(a) Taco Bell - Coe and Lorain <br />Ed Sankus, representing Taco Bell appeared before the Com- <br />mission. Revised plans as submitted to Architectural Review <br />Board taere discussed. Mr. Roberts moved to approve Taco Bell <br />application with the following recommendations: Curbing a- <br />round the North side of the propane tank; Install 101 x 25t <br />concrete pad in dumpster area; Reduce width of entrance drives <br />on Lorain and Coe to 241; Concrete filled pipe on corners of <br />propane tank location for protection; Gates to dumpster en- <br />closure to be metal fencing with privacy slatsa Also, with- <br />in 45 days there is to be new plan resubmitted to Architec- <br />tural Review Board including a change of planting around <br />building to slow growing raith a maximum of 2 ft. in height; <br />removal of West propane tank,planting area and site light- <br />ing, landscaping and signage. Mr. Prokasy seconded, and <br />motion passed. <br />(b) Columbia Road Baptist Church - h116 Columbia Rd. <br />Plans for Phase II were submitted and studied.(Phase I is <br />renovation and rebuilding of the burned structure) After <br />discussion Mr: Prokasy moved to approve Phase II of Colum- <br />bia Road Baptist Church to include recommendations: drive- <br />way to be widened to ]141 minimum; redesign turning radius <br />to better accommodate bus turning requirements; suggested <br />use of heavy shingles. Also, there is to be landscaping
