NEW DEVELOPMENTS AND SUBDIVISIONS <br />(a) WESTMARK DEVELOPMENT 'COMPANY 'SUBPIVISION IMPROVIIMENT PLANS <br />Mr. McDermott stated that these plans were resubmitted from the last <br />Planning Commission meeting and that they meet Engineering Department <br />approval. A short discussion ensueda Mr. Bugala made a motion to accept <br />Westmark Development Company Subdivision Number 1 Improvement Plan. Mr. <br />Roberts seconded-and motion passed. <br />(b) REZONING REQUEST FOR PORTION (Approximately 2.4 Acres) OF <br />PERMANENT PARCEL NUMBERS 231-27-3 and 231-28-16 (North of <br />Site Occupied by U-Store-It, 24000 Lorain Road) FROM CLASS <br />RESIDENTIAL TO RETAEL BUSINESS9 GENERAL. Mr. Robert Amsdell,.owner, came"before the Board on behalf of the above <br />request. Mr. McDermott distributed location map and blueprints. Property <br />is located at 24000 Lorain Road - U-Store-It. Property has 175 feet of <br />frontage and runs back 750 feet. After some discussion, Mr. Roberts <br />moved to refer this matter to the Regional Planning Commission since this <br />is increasing our amount of commercial property. He instructed the Recording <br />Secretary to prepare a letter to go with these plans to the Regional Planning <br />Commission and tell them that there is a case pending their recommendation. <br />Mr. Bugala seconded and motion passed. . <br />V. COMMUNICATIONS <br />No items <br />VI: NEW BUSINESS <br />Mrm Byron Vine, representing Pine Ridge Homeowners Association, came.before <br />the Board with.a letter addressed to the Planning Commission with copies <br />sent to Greene, Frantz & Associates, Mayor Swietynowski, Architectural <br />Board of Review, R. Mazur, L. Zaslov and a ninnber of North Olmsted Council- <br />men. This letter discusses various concerns and desires concerning the <br />proposed State Wholesale building.e Mr. Roberts asked Mr. Vine to read <br />this letter aloud to the Planning Commission members. -Mr. Roberts thanked <br />Mr. Vine for coming and assured him the letter would go to the proper <br />people for consideration. <br />VII. OLD BUSINESS <br />Mr. Roberts signed a letter written by the Planning Commission to Mr. <br />TnTilliam Blake, Attorney at Law, regarding Application of Joe Bundas and <br />Lloyd Barker for rezoning of back portion of lots number. 33 and 34, each <br />50 feet wide on Porter Road from residential to commercial. The letter <br />stated that we simply acknowledge their letter, however until a formal <br />plan is submitted the Planning Commission is unable to take action. <br />Mr. Roberts also signed a letter written to Mrs. Betty Lord, Chairman of <br />Landmarks Commission stating that the Planning Commission members approved <br />their selection of North Olmsted City.Hall being designated as a land <br />mark.
