Prokasy moved to approve State.Wholesale Plan <br />with the following exceptions: the secondary access on the east side <br />of the property be removed, the no.left turn ingress or egress to or <br />from Lorain Road be permitted, this commission go on record as strongly <br />urging additional access, particularly to the west to either Sparky Lane or Brookpark Extension, the the prosposed lighting of the parking <br />lot and building be confined to the boundries of their own property, and <br />agree with the recommendations of the Architectural Board of Revi.ew. <br />Seconded by D. Ryan and Lmanimously approved. <br />(b) Midas rluffler: <br />Mr. Gundy introduced Midas-Muffler: This was their second appearance <br />before the Planning Commission. Mr. Gundy gave the recommendations of <br />the Architectual Review Board. They approved the plans, the use of <br />finished brick west and north, split block (colors to match the brick, and <br />mottar tinted to match the brick and that they turn the corners with <br />the brick, particulsrly the west side, at least 2 feet. They ask that <br />there be a radius instead of a square corners on the curbs in the parking <br />lot. The Architectural Review Board is satisfied that the 5 foot <br />adjustment of the building to the rear is acceptable, the landscape <br />plan is approved but they ask that there be a specification on the plan <br />showing plastic underneath the stone area. They have asked for a green <br />tinted concrete in the tree lawn area between sidewalk and road paving. <br />The final plans must reflect all these changes. Mr. Hank Gimm Engineer <br />for Midas agreed with the above changes. Mr. Prokasy made a motion to <br />approve the plans for the Midas Muffler Shop incorporating the recom- <br />mendations of the Architectural Review Board in the plans, seconded.by <br />Mr. Bugala and unanimously approved. <br />(c) . Volkswagon West: <br />.Mr. Gundy introduced plans of Volkswagon West to enclose in glass a <br />driveway to a service area which now has a canopy over it. Mr: Petroski <br />is the architect for Vo'lkeswagon Westo. He explained that the area is <br />to be used to display cars. Mr. Gundy explained that the building is <br />not non-conforming. Mr. Bugala made a motion to refer the Volkswagon <br />West request for alteration the Architectural Review Board for further <br />study, Seconded by W. Ohlman and unanimously approved. <br />(d) Mr. Gundy introduced plans of-Tuff-Kote Dinol Inc. to renovate former <br />Pure Oil Gas Station for their use, as a rustproofing company, <br />Mr. Panebianco representing Tuff-Kote stated that the lease had re- <br />quired retaining the gas'pump island even though they <br />did not need it and the gas pumps had been removed. The commission <br />questioned the safety of leaving the island in the middle of the parking <br />. area. No landscaping was shown on the plan. P4r. Panebianco explained <br />that landscaping would consist of railroad ties for borders, decorative <br />stone,:iall live plants, trees, shurbs in redwood planters. Lighting <br />will remain the same. Signs that are planned are within the code. - <br />D. Ryan made a motion to accept the Tuff-Kote•Dinol;Inc. plan as pre- <br />sented and to include the landscaping which was indicated: Railroad <br />J.
