The oath was, administered, This is a request
to make an addition to the Volkswagen Agency_ and requires a 50T b uilding
set-back and also a special permit to add and alter a non-conforming
building. There are two requests before the Board: A special permit to
add to a non-conforming commercial structure because it doesn't comply
with the 50t setback and the second request is for a variance because
applicant is putting additional construction within the 50' front set-
back. Mr. Ledvina asked the applicant if there are any plans for changing
the existing driveway in any way because it is such a hazzard now to pull
into the Volkswagen Agency from Lorain Road and the applicant said
that this was a possibility. Mr. Ledvina stated that the spirit of the
ordinance is to have'nothing within the 50' set-back area and the Board
has been turning down any requests for this, especially on Lorain Road.
Discussion ensued as to the possible re-arranging of the plans in order to
eliminate the need for a variance. Mr. Fairfield moved to deny the request.
for a variance and a special permit. Mr. DeVoto seconded and motion passed
unanimously.
