Octdber 4, 1978 Pargti?- 3 .4 . ftz Chairman Ledvina requested the applicant and all other interested persons to assemble before the Boardo The oath was administered. Mr. Frank Routman, Architecht and Mr.Paul Cutler, Attorney for Romp Brothers, came before the Board. This request is for a proposed office building_to be constructed to the rear of D anny Boy°s Farm Market. A parking variance,had been given on December 2, 1972,.however, since,the_variance had not been used within a year it has now expired. They are asking now to use this 35' area for commercial purposes. Adjacent property owner came before the Board to question the exact location of the proposed office building. A. discussion ensued and Mr. Fairfield moved to deny the request for the variance. Mr. Ledvina seconded and motion passed nnanimouslye Request denied. 9. Robert Amsdell, 21725 Aberdeen Road, Rocky River, Ohio, Request for variance (1133.13)._ Request to erect a 12' high brick wall on a single residential property. Property is_U-Store-It, 23910 Lorain Road. Violation of Ord. 77-128 paragraph H (1) and (2). After discussion, Mr. Amsdell withdrew the case and will come back at a later date with more facts. 10. Westside Volkswagen, Incorporated, 25600 Lorain Road. Request for variance (1133.13). Request permission for a variance of section 1174.02 which requires a 50° setback and a special permit to add and alter to a non- conforming building as stipulated in 1231,02e Chairman Ledviria requested the applicant and all other interested persons to assemble before the Board. The oath was,administered, This is a request to make an addition to the Volkswagen Agency_ and requires a 50T b uilding set-back and also a special permit to add and alter a non-conforming building. There are two requests before the Board: A special permit to add to a non-conforming commercial structure because it doesn't comply with the 50t setback and the second request is for a variance because applicant is putting additional construction within the 50' front set- back. Mr. Ledvina asked the applicant if there are any plans for changing the existing driveway in any way because it is such a hazzard now to pull into the Volkswagen Agency from Lorain Road and the applicant said that this was a possibility. Mr. Ledvina stated that the spirit of the ordinance is to have'nothing within the 50' set-back area and the Board has been turning down any requests for this, especially on Lorain Road. Discussion ensued as to the possible re-arranging of the plans in order to eliminate the need for a variance. Mr. Fairfield moved to deny the request. for a variance and a special permit. Mr. DeVoto seconded and motion passed unanimously. Request denied. One of the students in the audience then asked if all of the Board members could identify themselves by name for his records.
