Ro11 Call <br />Vice Chair,man Rafeld called the meeting to order at 8:00 p.m. <br />Present: Vice Chairman Rafeld, Secretary Fvanoff, Messrs. Roberts, Prokasy, <br />Nee and Zurawskie <br />Also Present: Building Commissioner Gundy, Law Director Gareau, City Eng- <br />ineer Childs and Recording 5ecretary Hodginsy Councilmen <br />Sharpe and Saringer. <br />IT. Review and Correction of Minutes <br />Fifth line from bottom in minutes of September 27, 1977 first page Item (b) <br />the word "restrictions" be inserted instead of the word "widthtt; also change <br />"logot° to 10logos" and k'standard to "standards'9. Ntr. Roberts moved minutes <br />be approved as corrected. Mr. Nee seconded, and motion passed.. <br />III. Building Department Requests <br />(a ) Waldo T s Nursery, 23450 Lorain Rd. <br />Mr. Gundy presented plans which were studied by Commissioners. Addi- <br />tions to commercial building are being plannec3. Two ft. front setback <br />variance and variance for distance between residential and commercial <br />were granted by Board of Zoning Appeals at its Oct. 5, 1977 meeting. <br />E. J. Hager explained the plans for nursery alterations and additions.. <br />Mr. Prokasy moved plans for Waldots be referred to Architectural Re- <br />view Board. Mr. Roberts seconded, and motion passeda <br />(b) Modernization of storage building behind Great Northern Shopp:_ng Center. <br />Mr. Gundy presented plans for addition to and modernization of the stor- <br />age building for veterinary clinico Mr. Shur, owner and developer, ap- <br />peared before the Commission. Building is now behind Hough bakeries. <br />Parking spaces, shrubbery and remodeling of rear of existing shopping <br />center were described. Mra Prokasy questioned distance between the <br />storage building and the R.hinelander Restaurant. Mr. Prokasy moved to <br />refer plans for offices of I?r. Davis to Architectural Review Board and <br />to have the Building Commissioner follow through on Ord.-62-33 Section <br />1173,02 (B) uection 7.. Mro Evanoff seconded, and motion passed. <br />(c) Magic Pan Restaurant <br />Reference was made to Architectural Review Board minutes of Octobex 17, <br />1977 by Mr. Gundy. Zetter from the architect was read. Four of the <br />five recommendations will be meto After discussion Mr. Evanoff moved <br />to accept Architectural Review Board recommendations 1)? 2), to be com- <br />pleted; also 4) and 5) and accept the plan of the architect to leave <br />the glass structure per plano Mr. Prokasy seconded, and motion passed. <br />(d) K C B Co. <br />Mr. GUndy presented plans for retail store at T,i. 231st St.& Lorain Rdo
