City of North olmsted <br />PLANNIVG COMMISSION <br />April 13,• 1976 <br />I. Roll Cal1 <br />Chairman Prokasy called the meeting to order at 8:00 p.m. <br />Present: Chairman Prokasy, Vice Chairman Roberts, Secretary Tischler, <br />Messrs. Rafeld and Nee. <br />Also present: Building Commissioner Gtndy' Zaw Director Gareau, As- <br />sistant City Engineer MeDermott, Recording Secretary <br />Hodgins and Councilman Sharpe. <br />IT. Review and Correction of t2inutes <br />Mr. Roberts moved to approve miriutes of March 23, 1976 meeting. Mr. <br />Vee seconded and motion passedo <br />III. Building Department Requests <br />(a) New Requests <br />Mr. Gund,y presented plans for a small furniture store at 30710 <br />Lorain Rd. Plans were studied by Commission members. Parking <br />is adequate; plans meet criteria of the Zoning Ordinancee <br />At this time Chairman Prokasy welcomed members of Government <br />Class from the high school. <br />After further discussion Mra Tischler moved for a-oproval of <br />proposed Barber furniture store development plan with the fol- <br />lowing changes (1) parl;ing boundar.y on west side be moved west <br />2 fts and (Z?) area immediately east of the building be in grass <br />for dimension of 10 ft. except at front to allow cars to null in <br />parking area and sidewalks be allowed across grassy area as shotan <br />on drawing. Mr. Rafeld seconded and motion passed. <br />IV. Old Business <br />V. New Developments and Subdivisions <br />(a) Proposed dedication for roadwa,y purposes of city owned lot <br />(Permanent Parcel No. 234-13-8 to provide access to the in- <br />dustrial area from Barton Road. <br />1Ir. McDermott distributed nlans and location maps. Considera- <br />tion of roadwa,y is requested by State and Citv administrations. <br />Area south of I-480 is industrially zoned. Openeing of access <br />road into 3arton Rd. opens the industrially zoned area. The <br />State will pay for the roadway. After short discussion Mr. <br />Roberts moved to approve roadway through Permanent Parcel No. <br />Recycled Bond - One atep to eave our envi=onmeat
