? C'ity of North Olmstecl. PLANNING COTOiISSION May 25, 1976 I. Roll Call Chairman Prokasy called the meeting to order at 8:05 p.m. Present: Chairrnan Frokasy, Vice Chairman Roberts, Messrs. Rafeld, Freeh and Nee. Also Present: Building Cornmissioner Gundy, Assistant City Engineer McDermott-{Mr. McDermott divided his time between this meeting and Equalization }3oard Meeting in another room in the hall), Lak? Director Gareau and Recording Secre- tary Hodgins. II. Review and Correction of Minutes In May 11, 1976 minutes under Item N(a) second paragraph should be 'tside yard distance as marked on plann. Mr. Freeh moved minutes be approved as corrected. Mr. Roberts seconded and motion passed. Building I?epartment Requests _ l _ (a) New Requests Mr. Gundy distributed location maps, site plans for Ream Plaza on westerly side of the city. Plans are for retail stores in front and day care center in rear. Commission members studied the plans which conform with the ordinance. After some discussion Mr. Rafeld moved to approve Ream Plaza Plan' 30119 Lorain Rd.-' dated. May 7,, 1976. :-ir. Roberts seconded and motion passed unanimously. (b) Mr. Gundy distributed site plans for construction of.a shopping plaza next door to Sambo's restaurant, 27328, Lorain Rd. Plan meets require- ment for small tenants.; there is no loading dock provided in the,plan. George Roth, developer, appeared before the Commission There was ' discussion of driveways and parking, of landscaped area and drop off in parking area in rear. Mr. McDermott came from Equalization Bd. meeting. He was questioned about the plans and said there has been no'actual re- view or approval by Engineering Department. After lengthy discussion Mr. Rafeld moved to appro8e Olmsted.Square Lot #21 on Lorain Rd.",with,. the following changes: (a) 3 car opening or 27 ft. access from Sambo's as marked on the plan to correspond with opening from Sambots parkings- (b) a 10 ft. area east?of parking lot starting as far north as reten- tion basir, going south to Lorain ftd. be landscaped and all trees pre- served; and (c) recommend that Engineering Department review plans and " I pay special attention to the grade along the rear property lineo Mr. Freeh seconded and motion passed unanimously.
