Old Business 10-12-7b - 2 - (a) Jamestomn Village apartments rezoning request - east side of Columbia Rd. north of Brooknark Rd. - 3 parcels (approximate- ly 2 acres) from C single residence district to multiple resi- dence district. I?ir. Margolius came bafore the Commission and reviewed his in- troduction of the request. Messrs. Rafeld, Tischler, and E- vanoff had made on site insnections of the property. PZr. Ra- feld and Mr. Tischler spoke in favor of the rezoning. P?'ir. E- vanoff moved to accept Jamestotan Village Apartments rezoning request to rezone 3 parcels from C residence to multiple resi- dence. Mr. Tischler seconded and motion passed. (b) Gibson Rezoning Request for proposed Tallwood Subdivision - west off Roo-L Rde south of Byron Dr. - approximately 22 acres - from A single residence district to B single residence Dis- trictm Mr. Gibson and Mr. Allen, attornejr, appeared before the Com- missione Niaps were distributed by Mro McDermott. Mro Allen revietaed the request and reviewed the discussion held at last meeting. Idew on the proposal shown by Kr. Gibson and NIr. Al- len vaas 50 ft. roadway to be deeded to the city. It is an access road<<a,y between Sub Lot 54 and `Sub Lot 55. 'Mre Tischler asked what percentage of the acreage is being deeded to the cit.y. Answer is roughly 2 acres i•?r. Rafeld e?.?lained the Ord. pertain- ing to cluster development. NIr. Hughes, Byron Dr. asked what is the feasibility of building A homes on the A lots. Mr. Gibson said there would be 6 fewer homes than if B zoning iaere accorn-o- lished. Councilman Goggin is present for the discussion. krea resi- dents addressing the Commission: Mr. Hughes, A4r. Shie also of Byron Dr. asked if owner must be present for re- zoning. PIr. Conrad, Mr. Motique and Mr0 Bahas, also area resi- dents addressed the Commission. After further d.iscussion Nr. Tischler moved to reject the proposed rezoning request for pro- posed Tallvaood Subdivisiona Mr. Rafeld seconded the motion. Durina further discussion Mr. Freeh said action to rezone would be precedent setting; it would be the elimination of A zoning.
