Questionner was told again of zoning. <br />Harry Babcock, President of Bretton Ridge Civic Association said <br />all residents are opposed to establishment of apartments on that <br />parcel for reasons of traffic, safety, parking in rearo He asked <br />for clarity on driveway. He asked for clarity on proposal for un- <br />].oading for Lawson trucks and for parking in garages of apartments. <br />Councilman Wilamosky examined plans and suggested there might be <br />problem in regard to ingress and egress on Christman Dr. Ques- <br />tion of corner lot requirements was voice by Erline Ondray. Mr. Leaderbach said he had read North Olmsted is trying to get rid of filling stations, hot dog stands, etc. Mrs. <br />Zipp spoke of present zonang along Lorain Road and explained that <br />that 5 story apartment building can be built on this parcel. Qu.es- <br />tion was asked if drive meets city speeifications. Residents -Were <br />assured that it does., Question was asked if Council does not ap- <br />prove the subdivision, can the development be approved. Answer <br />was no. There was further discussion of driveways and landscaping,• <br />of health inspections at Lawsons, but what about inspections of <br />rubbish disposal for apartments. There was fuz°ther discuss3on of <br />traffic flow.. Mr. Gundy said southerly egress point would be suf- <br />ficient to handle the cars for the apar-tments. Barbara Bone asked <br />why the owners are so greedy. Peg Lewis asked how far away will <br />the garbage be from the swimming area.. She was told the corner <br />of the building is 20 ft. from lot 1.ine which is reasonable dis- <br />tance. Carol Place asked about the size of the apartments.Plans <br />were explained. Ken Ondrea said there is mass of problems. A1 <br />Stitt thinks access should be from Lorain Road only. He mention- <br />ed there could be excess of cars over the 14 spaces. Iaw Director <br />Gareau explained this will be one parcel with two uses and there <br />can be two accesses. Dave McIntyre again challenged the proposal. <br />Tom Spurlock, Vice President of Bretton Ridge Civic Association <br />spoke of rights of citizens and ethics and safety. He said 500 <br />people are against the proposal and asked what legal steps can be <br />taken to prevent action of acceptance. Zaw Director Gareau spoke <br />of two matters to come before Council subject to referendum. Mr.- <br />Freeh moved to postpone for two weeks only and refer to Safety <br />Director so he can study any traffic and general safety problems <br />which may existo NIr..Elliott seconded and motion passed.
