Roll Cal1 <br />Chairman Prokasy called the meeting to order at 8a18 p.m. Secretary <br />Eian ca],led the roll. <br />Present: Chairman Prokasy, Secretary Eian, Messrs. Elliott, Freeh and <br />Rafeld. <br />Also Present: Law Director Gareau, Record3ng Secretary Hodgins, <br />Counc3.lmen Goggin, Saringer, i,i.mpert, and INest. <br />II. Review and Correcta.on of Minutes <br />N1r. Elliott moved minutes of June 24, 1975 meeting be approved as sub- <br />mitted. NIr. Freeh seconded and motion passed. <br />III. Building Department Requests -. No Ttems <br />IV. Old Business <br />(a) Rules and Regulations of Flanning Commission <br />Tt was reported this item is not ready for presentation tonight. <br />V. New Developments and Subda.vi.sions <br />(a) Carpenter Resubdivision - west side of Decker Rd., south of Midvale <br />- combining 3 lots into 2 sub lotsa <br />Lots were outlined on map; subdivision plans were distributed among <br />I'lanning Commission members. Notes from Engineer McDermott were <br />read. Mr. Carpenter came before the Commission and explained his <br />problem - house.,is located on Lot 1. Problem is in constructing <br />home on Jot 2. Code requires 8700 square feet; the resulting lot <br />is 8400 square feet. Variance of 300 square feet is needed. Tt <br />was stated the lot is being upgraded in the areao Mr. E1liott <br />moved to place in committee. Mr. Freeh seconded and motion passedo <br />(b) Sign in right of way of Byron Dr. near southeast corner of Byron and <br />Canterbury Rd.. <br />Location map was shown as were details on sign. Note from Engineer <br />licDermott was read. Sign as submitted was approved by Service, Build- <br />ing and Engirteering Departments. Purpose of the sign is identifica- <br />tion of subdivision. The 5 ft. high x!t ft# taide sign is to be ].ocat- <br />ed in tree lawn. There is no report from the Safe'ty Director who is <br />on vacation. There was discussion regarding safety. Ilrs. Eian moved <br />to approve the sign. Mr. Rafeld seconded and motion passed.
