NOFEMBER 25s 1958 - - - PAGE 2
A turn-around was put on the plat. (Located outside of develop-
ment.) There is a culvert located in front of it which will have to be
covered.
Upon examining plat9 members of the commission found that one
piece of property was only 30 feet wide. They questioned this and found
that the Board of Education had acquired ito
Tdlr. Andrew Repko of the North Olmsted School Board stated that
they obtained this 30 feet for an access to the school property. They want
this cut-through or foot-path to help eliminate the transportation problem.
This piece of property would be maintained by the school board.
Inasmuch as an ordinance says that there can be no subdivision of
property less than 60 feet wide and stipulates that an alley is no greater
than 20 feet wide, the commission feels that this 30 foot parcel requires an
explanation from the developer.
It was suggested to the school board that if this is to be a foot-
path, there should be some provisions made to keep automobiles out. Suggested
were posts9 heavy cables, or perlsaps a ten foot paved walk with shrubbery on
either side to act as a buffer stripg and also rules and laws made to keep it
a foot-path. If there are any future plans for using it for automobiles
or buses or a possibility of it ever becoming a street they should acquire
60 feet because 30 feet does not make a safe drive for automobiles and is
not in accordance with ordinances.
The developers should put the property ownerso names on all adjoining
property and should specify what the 30 foot parcel iss They should also
deposit with the building commissioner plat plans and improvement plans to
be kept on record for the entire time of the development.
It was decided that the plat will not be approved until Mr. Hoislbauer
appears personally and clarifies the school board property, the recreation
facilities and anything else the commission feels necessary. Zegal repre-
sentation of the school board should also be present.
Item 2. Breezewood package pla,nt.
Mr. Krause' whose associates built the Breezewood package plant,
stated that the plant was constructed to last as long as any other plant.
It was designed for additional facilities to take care of more homes. It is
just as pure and efficient as the plant designed for Sheppard's H ill.
Ot,m.ers shall, at the time of city sewers, comply with city rules and regulations.
Item , Subdividing present lot into two lots.
Mre Andrew Repko asked to have a plat approved. The plat is of
' one lot (100l x 450'), located between Butternut Ridge and Allendale with
1001 frontage on Butternut Ridge and 25.7 foot frontage on Allendale.
He «ants to divide this into two approximately equal sized lots. Because
this plat involves less than 5 lots. Mr. Repko was told to see Mr. Gundy
for approval.
- 2 -
