.? <br /> <br />..?..?.. <br />REGULAR MEETING OF THE BOARD OF ZON[NG APPEALS <br />HELD AT THE CITY HALL DECEMBER 6, 1960 <br />The meeting was called to order at 7:40 p.m. <br />Members present; Edw?ard Byers, 1Jitliam Greene, and Lloyd Morgan. <br />Members absent: Willard Klinite <br />Also present:, Ernest Gundy, Building Commissioner; Clarence Oviatt, Ctty Solicitor <br />The portion of the minutes of the special meeting of November 15 pertaining to <br />the Fairview Cab Company was read and approved. <br />Because the Board had not received a written opinion from the Solicitor regarding <br />the Fairview Cab Company and the Solicitor was not yet present, it was moved by <br />Mr. Morgan and seconded by Mr. Byers that the matter be tabled for one-half hour <br />at which time the Solicitor would be available. The motion was unanimously approved. <br />1. Appellant: Sun Oil Company - 3200 Independence Road <br />Cleveland 5, Ohio <br />Representing the Sun Oil Company: Deloss F. Drake, Land Dept. Representative <br />The appellant requested permission to replace an existing sign at the Sunoco Service <br />Station at 23424 Lorain Road, North Olmsted, Ohio. The present sign is non-conforming, <br />the top extending 10 1/2 feet over public property. The proposed sign would be <br />more attractive, and the top would extend approximately 4 1/2 feet. <br />It was moved by Mr. Morgan and seconded by Mr. Byers that fihe variance be granted. <br />The motion was unanimausly approved. <br />2. Appellant: Dona1H F. Gates - 4437 Silverdale Road <br />North Olmsted, Oh'to <br />The appellant requested permission to construct a 1/2 bath and closet on the <br />north side of his house, projecting out 4 feet and being 11 feet in length, which, <br />would bring the addition 3 feet 7 inches too close to the north lot line. lt was <br />moved by Mr. Byers and seconded by Mr. Morgan that the variance be granted. The <br />motion was unanimously approved. <br />3. Appetlant: Fairview Cab Company, Joseph T. Gliva, Proprietor - 23112 Lorain Road <br />North Olmsted, Uhio <br />This meeting was a public hearing for the purpose of reviewing the appellant's <br />request for a two-way steel radio tower, 50 feet high and 4 feet 7 inches from <br />. the nearest building on the same lot; and al.so an occupancy certificate to use <br />part of a residence for business purposes in a business district.
