<br />].o Appell ant: Hennie Homes, 4402 West 215 Street, Fairview park, Ohio.
<br />Ref: Request for variance to erect a sign, 81 x 121, on their property
<br />near Brookpark Road, s.outh of Westview Drive,.wnich is in viola-
<br />tion of Zoning Ordinance 62-33, Section 1225.01 (C), which limits
<br />the number of subdivision advertising signs to a maximum of two.
<br />Mro Ed Kilbane represented Hennie Homes. The genera.l discussion brought
<br />out the fact that the Hennie Homes development is, in reality, three
<br />separate suUdivisions, and, under the Code, no variance would be needed,
<br />as each subdivision could qualify for two signs.
<br />No vote was taken.

<br />Ref: Request for variance to erect a trade mark sign totaling 96 square
<br />£eet on the property immediately east of the Marathon gas station
<br />at Butternut Ridge and Lorain Roads, in conjunction with a restaurant
<br />to be built at that location, which is in violation of Zoning Ordi-
<br />nance 62-33, Section 1225, restricting signs to 50 square feet.
<br />Mr. Keefe represented the appellant. He said that, as a national chain,
<br />the company has used only one size sign. Nir. West expressed opposition
<br />to the request for such a large sign, saying the Ordinance had just been
<br />revisecl to allow 50 square feet. Mxo Kenneth Lower, 27620 Butternut
<br />Ridge Road, owner of the property immediately east of the proposed res-
<br />taurant location, indicated his opposition, and also complained about
<br />the glare created by the sagns of the Marathon gas station. Mr. Keefe
<br />said the land had not yet been purchased by his company. Mr. Verhovitz,
<br />representing Commissary Corp., operator of R4ister S Drive-In, voiced
<br />objection, saying his eompany had to reduce the size of their sign, and
<br />that Dog House should also comply with the Code.
<br />Nr. Klinite moved to deny the request, Mr. Greene seconded. Vote was

<br />building, which would be 148 Z 3/41' x 4' 42tty which is in violation
<br />of Zoning Qrdinance 62-33, Section 1225m02, limiting sign size.
