Pate, 29568 Stewart Drive9 North Olmsted <br />• ReFs Request for variance of 21 side yard setback on Sublot 64A., <br />6184 Christman Drive, North Olmsf.eda Request is in violation <br />Sec. 1159e02, which r equixes minimum setback on the street upon <br />which the side of the house faces sha11 be 2:5 feet. <br />Mr. W. B. Pate stated house for this lot is sm.allest of their models and is <br />not as yet under conspruction. Lot measures 62, on Christman, 77 at rear 1ine., <br />side facing Cambridgeo TJirs. Eian moved to grant the 21 variance on the steet <br />sidea Second by Mre Iiyers, Vote was unanimous. <br />6. Appellantr Mrs. Lydia Cas.hmers 3619 West Park ?Dr., C1,eveland 11., Ohio <br />Ref: Request for permit to build a home on S/L 172 which is located on <br />the corner of Porter Rd. and Northern Ave., NOrth Olrasted. This <br />corner lot is 401 wide and cannot be enlarged. In order to bu:i.ld <br />home as proposed appellant is aski.ng for a setback reduction from <br />25 ft, to ii Itm Z'his does not eonform saitki Sec. 1159m02, Urhich <br />requires a 25 ft. setbackm <br />Reference was made by i?ix. Klinite to fkie minutes of June 9, 1964. At that <br />time the Matherson Bldg. Co., 5481 W. 227, Parkview' made an id entical appeal <br />for variance for this lot. Variance was denied o <br />Nir. and Mrs. Stevens9 5553 Porter., and T4rso Jarrard9 5522 Porter9 taere present <br />and objected -to the building of a home on this 1ot, stating it was not large <br />enough fo:c a home, that the creek in back' which is not covered, would not <br />allow for a backyard. <br />Gouncilman 14est pointed that tihis was a tremendous amount of footage to ask <br />for as a varianceo <br />N1r. Gundy stated tha-t the size of house which this lot woul d accommodate would <br />be too small to pass building code regula-tions. <br />Inanswer to 14rs. Cashmere s question as to what to do Ttri.th the 1and if she coixld <br />not build on it'. Mr. West said there was a Site Committee i.n the Council: and <br />she could contact -them to see if tYere was a possibility that this 1.and could <br />be utilized in future plans for some city use. <br />NIro Klinite stated that T•Zrs, Cashmer had another recourse; one more appeal <br />could be maaey that to the Court of Common Pleas. <br />Mr. Schmitt moved to deny the request for variance.
