Discussion <br />ensued and Mr. Ford suggested that this be subdivided into two sublots, <br />one 118 foot 1ot and one 80 foot 1ot. Discuss?on ensued and it was <br />moved by N1r. Esgar, seconded Uy 1Kr. Spalding, that the Planning Commission <br />recommend to the Board of Zoning Appeals that this variance not be <br />allowed as shown becau.se it would be possible to subdivide this garcel <br />into 2 sublots that would conform with the Zoning Ordinance. YEAS <br />Esgar, Spalding, Musial, LaPonza, Prolcasy, Ford, Fabek <br />GELLN ER - 4180 Porter Road <br />Mr. Scanlon reappeared bef ore the Commission in regard to a request for <br />a varian.ce in sublot 84 on I orter Road which would a11ow this sublot to <br />become a Fart of another sublot in Westlake for a 100 foot building 1ot. <br />He presented a communication stating that the Board of Zoning Agpeals <br />had aPproved this and Yie would now need the approval of the Commission. <br />Discussion ensued and NIr. Goel-lner <br />wzll then be able to retain thelir home, their landscaping, thezr drive, <br />their septic tank and easement as presently constituted without costly <br />and extensive changes since they will then have their own 1ot of 139 <br />foot frontage. 1'he approval o'f the groPosed split creating a sub <br />standard lot in North Olmsted does not involve annexation nor does it <br />involve any ch?-nge in city boundary lines. Further ttl.ere need be no <br />fear that a building permit wi11 be applied f or on the sub standard lot <br />if approved and any conditions so imposed wi11 be complied caith:' <br />Disctzssion ensued and it was moved by Mr. Lsgar, seconded by Yir. LaPonza, <br />that the Planning Commission accePt th.e recommendation of the Board of <br />Zoning Appeals that this variance be permitted LJ1tl1 the provision that <br />no building rermits be issued on this lot unless it is done ti•rith the <br />idea that the 1ot in North Olmsted and L,Iestlalce is considered as a 100 <br />foot building lot. Crandall, of Reg? onal Ylanning, was i10w present at the meetina, <br />this matter was broug-ht bacbc on the table for Consideration. Ogen dis- <br />cussion ensued with members of the Commission, members of Gouncil, Ivir. <br />Crandall, and in-terested parties. As iU1r. Zochner did not present a <br />revised preliminary as requested at the last meeting it was moved by <br />r7r. I,aPonza, seconded by Mr. Ford, to instruct Mr. LochUer to make the <br />recommended changes on the preliminary that the committEe had submitted <br />at the last meeting and to then bring in a new greliminary plan at the <br />next me2ting. YELS LaPonza, F'ord, Esgar, Fabek, Sp?.lciing, IViusial, <br />Frokasy. <br />It was moved by NIr. SpaldinG., secon;led by Yir. Nlusial, to turn this <br />matter over to Regional r°lanning for an analysis of tlze generaZ area of <br />Root Road to Forter Roacl and to the Westlake line and to the commercial <br />district behi-tid Lorain Road.
