Jos. <br />Christopher9 and Mr. Foliano, contractor. <br />Neighbors' and nearby property ozrners, present were: Mr. and IvIrs. Carl <br />Passant9 25542 Lorain, Iir. ancl I4rs. Carl Pfaff, 4635 Fleharty and Mr. and <br />Mrs. Sherwood of Elyria, otianers of property adjacent to Pfaff's on Fleharty. <br />NIr. Endreola said building iiould house four stores, tiiould be constructed of <br />brick. As there is a consideraUle drop in elevation fx°om Lorain Rd. to level <br />of Fleharty, arainage would have fA be pumped up to storm sewer on Lorain. <br />Mr. ancl Mrs. Pfaff9 whose property abuts in the rear, felt tha-t a building <br />161 away was too close, it would present a fire hazard and drainage probJ.ems. <br />It would give tliem a feeling of being blocked in as building would be too <br />cl.ose and would also tower above them, <br />PZrs. Eian moved to deny the variance on the basis that by placing so large a <br />bui7.ding on the lot, it creates an excessive variarzce. Second by Mro Nelson. <br />tTnanimously passed. <br />5. 4ppellant: Mr. Robert Sharpe, 23473 rgoodview, North Olmsted <br />Ref s N.equest for variance to add a family room to rear of home . A 17.5' <br />x 241 foundation is already constructed at rear. Appellant wishes <br />to use this base for family room addition. Distance from foundation <br />to rear lot line is 30.721. 2equest is in violation of Section 1163.01 <br />which requires 501 rear yard ETetback. <br />Ntr. D. E. Nellinger irom IiTelbrow Inc. represented Mrs Sharpe, Foundation at <br />rear of horae., which has served as a patio, was put in with original construction <br />of the house. Right lot line is 131.223; left, 134.49m Home is 331 deep. A <br />variance was grantecl of less than 2' when horre was builte rirs. Eian moved to <br />grant the variance of 30.72' rear yard. Seconl by iMr. ATelson. Vote was unan- <br />imous. <br />6a Appellants Franklin Broso Realty Co,, 21010 Center Ridge., ii'Tbcky r?iver <br />Ref: xequest for variances on the followin.g sublots on West 237: 15, 172 <br />19' 20y 219 22, 23, 249 259 26' 279 283 309 325 33 and 34. Also, on <br />Sharon Drive' 7, 8? 99 11' 139 142 15, 169 17, 18, 192 20,? 21' 22923, <br />24, 259 27, 28, 29 and 30 <br />Lots are 60' x 1501. Homes to be built are 49.81; however2 kitchen <br />extends 21 beyond this, making that portion of home 51.81. i?equest <br />is for variance of 2011 on that portion of rear yard setback. -iequest <br />a.s in violation of Section 1163.01, -v3hich requires 50' rear yard sEt- <br />back. <br />Iylra Fred riranlslin was present.
