CITY OF NORTH OLR7STED - BOARD OF ZONING APPEALS <br />Regular Meeting Held at City Hall - November 2, 1966 <br />Nleeting was called to order at 7:35 P.M. by Nr, William Greene, Chairman. <br />Members present: Mrs. Eian, Messrs. Greene, Nelson and Scheeff <br />Also present: Mr. Gundy, Building Commissioner <br />Mi-nutes of October sth regular meeting and October 19th special meeting <br />were approved as received. <br />1. Appellant: James Bailey, Chairman, Trustees of Bretton Ridge, 29472 <br />Stewart Drive, North Olmsted. <br />Request for variance (1133.13) to place a Quonset hut <br />building 40' by 110' by 301 high in the recreation area <br />of Bretton Ridge Subdivision, 5991 Christman Drive, to <br />be used as a recreation hall and meeting room. Request <br />is in violation of #62-33, Section 1151.01 B, concerning <br />placement of proposed structure and use of building for <br />this purpose. Request for interpretation of country club <br />as permitting a building of this nature as an accesory use. <br />Mr. Bailey was present. Mr. Koontz, member of the Board of Trustees of <br />Bretton Ridge Home Owners Association, requested a continuance of this <br />variance appeal until the next regular meeting. Mr. Scheeff made a motion <br />to this effect. Second by Mr. Nelson. Carried. <br />2. Appellant: Robert A. Gray, 1562 Lincoln Avenue, Lakewood. <br />Request for varianc'e (1133.13) to build a home on S/L 76, <br />22996 McBeth kvenue, with 19' sidelines instead of 20' re- <br />quired. Request is for 1' variance. Request is in viola- <br />tion of #62-33, Section 1161.01, which specifies that the <br />sum of the 2 sides shall not be less than 20' with the mini- <br />mum width of one side to be not less than 5'. <br />Mr. Gray was absent. Messrs. Al1en Teschner and Ed Roth objected to NTr. <br />Gray's plans to build a house 26' wide x 47' on a 45' lot even though it <br />is 230' deep. The house would have 1222 square feet. McBeth Avenue is <br />in a C district, There being no hardship apparent to the Board, Mr. <br />Nelson made a motion that this appeal be denied. Second by NIr. Scheeff. <br />Carried. <br />3. Appellant: Earl J. Krock, 1008 Williamson Bldg., Cleveland. <br />Request for variance (1133.13) to subdivide S/L 298 Porter <br />Road, North Olmsted, by dividing said 40' lot in half, <br />adding 20' to next adjoining S/L 297 and 299, so as to <br />make two 60' lots. Request is in violation of #62-33, <br />Section 1157.01, which specifies lots in B residence <br />district shall be 70' wide.
