He reported it was a worthwhile and interesting conference, and that he would present 1-iis report at a later <br />date. He stated in the conference it covercd such facets <br />as, comprehensive planning, r..ecent trends in zoning, transpor- <br />tation, new subditTision proposals, planning for gcod develop- <br />ment, implementing industrial development, et cetera. <br />Duane-Avenue was brought forward for brief discussion in that9 <br />at the time Sandy hidge No. 2 was proposed, no building permits <br />would be issued in this area until Duane Avenue would be <br />extended either by the developer or by the Cityo Cotincil would <br />not concur in tnis and approved Sandy Ridge Nod 1, but left <br />a spur,running docan to where Duane Ave, is so that it could <br />be -extended at some futur.e date. <br />The suggestion has again been rene?Ned by the Safety-Service <br />Director that the Plani-iing Canunission resubmit this recommen- <br />dat-Lon to Countil. <br />Mr. Ford.moved that Duane Ave, be rEferred ta Conunittee and <br />` Committee work with the Design and Platting Committee oi <br />Council, seconded by Chainnan Prokasy. Motion put to a vote; <br />yeas, LaPonza, I'rokasys rord, Esgar and Fabek. Gommittee to <br />consist of. Cn.airma.n Prokasy. <br />There being no further business to come before the Cominission, <br />Mr. Ford moved that the meetir.g be adjourned; seconded by <br />Nr.
