CITY OF NORTH OLt7STED - BOARD OF ZONING APPEALS <br />Regular Meeting held at City HaII ---- August 23, 1967 <br />The meeting was called to order at 7:30 P.M. by Mr. William Greene, Chairman. <br />Members Present: Mssrs. Greene, Roberts, Nelson, Byers <br />Also Presents Mr. Gundy, Building Commissioner <br />The following correction was made to the minu-tes of the 8/2/67 meeting: Heari.ng <br />No. 7- Mr. Byers moved. The minutes were approved as corrected. <br />l. Appellan.t: Frank Austin, 23771 Frank Street. Request to install a two <br />car d_etached garage 31 from rear lot line and 3' from side <br />lot line. <br />Request is in violation of Ordinance #62-33, Section 1151.04, <br />a garage shall be a minimum of 51 from any property line. <br />Present: rire Austin, Mr. Gorman <br />Mr. Austin explained that he wished to build his garage to conform with o'thers <br />built in area. Mr. Gorman statea that he had no oUjec'uion and that other neighbors <br />o,uestioned had been in ags°eement. Mr. Byers moved that a 21 rear lot line variance <br />and a 21 side line variance be granted. Mr. Nelson seconded the motion. The <br />motion passed. <br />2. Appellant: Arthur Bobeck, 3518 Clay-ton Drivee Request to install a five <br />foot fence around a portion of the lot. A variance of lr is <br />requested. <br />Request is in violation of Ordina.nce #62-331. Section 1151.04, <br />fence not to exceed 41 in height. <br />Present: riro Bobeclc <br />Mr. Bobeck explained that because of a sidewalk easement at the rear of his 10t, <br />he would like to install a 5' fence for some de;ree of privacy. He presented <br />letters from Andrew Young and Eugene Slawinski stati.ng that they had no oUjection. <br />Mr. Roberts moved that a 11 variance be granted, seconded by Mro Byers and passed. <br />3. Appellant: Thornas Papp, 3173 Ta'in Circle. Request to build an addition <br />onto rear of house. Distance from proposed addition to closest <br />point of detaclied garage is 71. A variance of 131 is requested. <br />Reauest is in violation of Ordinance ;62-33, Section I151.04, <br />a detached garage must be a minimum oi 201 from dwelling. <br />Present: Mr. Papp <br />Mr. Papp stated that they wish to add a family room to the.rear of their home <br />and that their neighbors had no objections. It was discovered in looYing at <br />detailed drawings tha.t a rear yard variance would also be required since proposed <br />addition would be 33' from rear lot line. Mro Nelson moved that the case be <br />continued until our next.meeting pending notification to neighbors of the <br />second variance. Mr. Roberts seconded the motion. The motZOn passed.
