<br />° Pa.ge 2- Minutes Board of Zoning Appeals - August 21 1967 <br />Mr. Vanclerbank stated that requested sign would blend in with other business <br />signs on the building and is needed for identiiication. After discussion, he <br />agreed to consider a smaller sign in 31, X 10' in size. Mr. Nelsoh moved that <br />a 25 square foot variance be granted, seconded by Mr. Byers and passed. Mr. <br />RobertS voted no. <br />5. Appellant: U. S. Rubber Co., 2661/. Lorain Road, Request to install signs <br />in er.cess of the permitted Square footage. <br />In violatzon of Ordinance #62-33, Section 1225.02. <br />Present: iMr. Kelly of U. S, Ropal and Mr. Burnam of Hamil.ton Displays <br />Mr. Kelly and Mr. Burna_m stated that the signs that they wish to install are <br />standard signs for the business in guestion. They recluest a total of 524 <br />square feet of Sign apace. It w-as determined that 260 square feet are permitted. <br />Since no understanding could be reached9 Mr. Nelson moved to deny the renuest <br />for variance, seconded by Mr. Roberts and passed. A new plan will be submitted <br />to come before the board at a meeting scheduled for Wednesday August 23, 1967. <br />6, Appellant: Kenneth Dobos, 24731 Fawn Drive. Request to install a 61 <br />fence 20' X 621 X 121o Variance of 2' requested. <br />In violation of Ordinance #62-33, Section II51o049 fence not <br />to exceed 41 in heighto <br />Present: Mr. Dobos and Mr. Stephens <br />Mre Dobos stated that on his corner Iot there is no privacy whatsoever. The <br />fence would be redwood basketweave or stockade. Mr. Stephens said that he had <br />no objection. Desir.ability of a 5t fence wa.s discussecl due to corner location. <br />Mr. Roberts moved to grant a 19 varia.nce with Side extending back to end of <br />family room, second?d by Mr. Nelson an.d passed., <br />7. Appellant: Marks Decorating, Inc.i 27693 But-ternut Ridge Road. Request <br />for expansion of use. <br />In violation of Ordinance #62-33, Section 1231.03. <br />Presezzt: Mr. Eccleston of Marks Decorating, Mr. Halley9 Mr. Reich].e9 Mr. Barnard <br />Mr. Eccleston explained that there is presently a metal shed loeated at the east <br />side of the building and that Marks Decorating wants.to continue using it as <br />storage rather than -to ha.ve their equipnentLstored out in the open. He felt <br />appearance-wise, this would be much batter. Neighbors said that they had no <br />objection and Mr. Barnard' owner of the building, was also in agreement. Mr. <br />Robert5 moved to grant permit for use for an existing non-canForming building9 <br />seconded by Mr. Nelson and passedo <br />T11e meeting wa.s ad j ourned at I0:45 P.M. <br />William J.
