CITY OF NORTH GLMSTED * BG1?RD OF ZONITdG AFPEkLS <br />Regular Meeting Held at City Hall - January 4, 1967 <br />Meeting was called to order at 7:40 P.M. by Mr. William Greene, Chairman. <br />Members present: Mrs. Eian, Messrs. Greene, Nelson, Byers and Scheeff. <br />Also present: Mr. Gundy, Building Commissioner and Nlrs. Hodgins, Councilwoman. <br />Minutes of December 7th, 1966 regular meeting were approved as received. <br />l. Appellant: Peter D. Kleist, West 232nd St. Bldg., Inc. W. 232 and <br />Lorain, IJorth Olmsted. <br />Request for variance (1133.13) to construct an addition <br />on the Buckeye --Restaurant. Request is in violation of 1174.02 of the Zoning Ordinance <br />tiahich states in retail business district building setback <br />shall be slt least 50' from street line; Section 1231.02 B <br />which states a nonconforming building shall not be altered, <br />added to or enlarged unless the additions and original <br />building are made to conform to the yard, coverage and <br />height regulations of the district in which it is located. <br />This is a continuation of hearing held Cctober 5, 1966. <br />Mr. Howard W. Broadbent, attorney for the appellant, was present. Nir. Greene <br />read the amended ordinance concerning this appeal for variance. Mr. Broadbent <br />presented plans and the Board considered them. Mr. Gundy answered questions <br />regarding additional parking space needed for expansion. Mr. iJelson made a <br />motion to grant this variance. Second by Mr. 5cheeff. Vote was unanimous. <br />2. Appellant: North Olmsted Assembly of God Church, 3874 Columbia Road, <br />North Olmsted. <br />Request for a special permit by North Olmsted Assembly <br />of God Church to transfer sign irom Lorain Road to 3874 <br />Columbia Road, North Olmstedo This dwelling is being <br />used ior church purposes. Request is_in violation of <br />Section 1225.01 (A). <br />Also request for special permit for place of worship in <br />a residential district required by Section 9-1151e01 <br />(Sub E) and Section 1133.12 of the Zoning Code. <br />This is a continuation of hearing held December 7, 1906. <br />The Rev. Mr. Canfield was present along with various members oi his church, <br />including Mr. i,ee, 5664 Illandale Drive, North Olmsted, who is a rnember of <br />the Board of Trustees. Mr. Lee vaithdrew the request fcr a sign, saying it <br />was not needed at this time. <br />Mr. Lee informed the Board that their church was one of 9000 in the United <br />States and their buildings are in conformity and have high standards of <br />building.
