April 18, 1-968 <br />The meeting -was called to order at 7:30 P.M. by Chairman Richard-Nelson. <br />Those present: Mrs. Eian, Mssrs. Nelson, Greene, Forcel3ini, Roberts <br />Also pi°Psent: E. J. Gundyx Building Commissioner <br />The minutes of 4/3/68 were approved as written. <br />Mro Nelson read a letter f7rom the Law Director re: appeal made by Kenneth Haas to <br />build an addition on his nonconformiag houseo The Zoning Boarcl can grant a permit tv <br />add to a nonconforming structure only if all additions wilT be con#'orrning. In this <br />case the additions would not be conformi.ng a.nd the appellant has been notified. <br />1. Appellants Robeets Restaurznt, 26804 Lorain R.oad. 'Uontinuation of request for <br />variance to erect a sign in excess of the perinitted squa.re footage. <br />Request is in violation of Ordinance r62-33, Section 1225.02e <br />Present: Mr. Crumley, Mr. King <br />Mr. Crumley uresented revised plans for his sign which has been reduced to 64 square <br />feet in size. He stated that he would set the sign back so as not to block Mr. King's <br />sign. He explained that it ca.n not be located on opposite side of property because of <br />mutual parking shared with Manners. Mr. ForcelIini moved to grant a variance of I41 <br />with a setback of 151 for the sign. Mr. Greene seconded the motion. IInanimously passed. <br />2. Appellant: Countryside Esta.tes,. Inc. Continuatioxi of request for variance to <br />erect a 61 sign along rear property Iine of 4144 idinton Park Drive. <br />R.equest is 3.n vioTation of Ordinance #62-33, Section 1I51.04, fence <br />not to.exceed 4' in height. <br />Present: Mr. Dadyha (representing Countryside Estates), Mr. Pinnow <br />Mr. Dadyha stated.that this 3s a$38,000 home and that the basketweave fence was desired <br />to hide the rear of a house on Dover Road. Mr. Pinnow objected to the fence and stated <br />that he felt the neighbor should be forced to clean up the mess at the rear if his house. <br />Mr. Dadyha suggested fencing only 751 instead eaf the entixe area, thus moving the fence <br />from Mr. Pinnow's view. Appellant: Artintr W. Romp. Continuation of request for va.riance to add to existing <br />Daixy Queen sign located at 24579 Lorain Road. With the addition, sign <br />would be in excess of the permitted squarE footage. <br />Realuest is in violation of Ordinance #62-331 Saction 1225.02. <br />Presents Mr, Romp <br />Mr. Romp presented--revised plans recluced from 96 to 73 square feet total si2e. He <br />stated that the? sign will be Iit internally and will have no flashing lights. Mr. <br />Roberts moved-to grant avariance of 23 so,uare feet with the stipulation that height <br />and location of sign be determined bg the Sa fety Director; seconded by Mr. F'orcmllini <br />and una.nimously passed.
