CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED - BOARD OF ZONING APPFALS <br />: <br />Regular Meeting held at City Ha11 ------ .April 3, _ I968 <br />The meeting was called to order at 7:30 P.M. by Chairman Richard Nelsone <br />Those Present: Mrs. Eian, Mssrs. IVelson, Greene, Farcellini9 Roberts <br />Also Present: Mr. Gundy, Builc3ing Commissioner <br />The minutes of 3/6/68 were approved as written. <br />I, AppelTa.nts Countryside Estates. Request for variance to erect a 61 fence along <br />rear property line of 4144 Vinton Park Drive, <br />Request is in violation of Ordinance #62-33, Section II5I.04, fence <br />not to exceed 41 in height. <br />Presenta Mr. Dadyha-representing Countryside Estates, Mro Pinnow <br />Mr. Dadyha explained that the fence was neceSSary to hide the unsightly view at the <br />rear of a home on Daver Center Road. It would be of basket weave construction. Mr. <br />Pinnow questioned the exact location of fence. The possibility was raised that the <br />wrong Charles Martin had received notification of this hearing. For this reason, the <br />case will be continued until the next meeting and aII persons Z,rill be re-notified. <br />2. AppEllantr Arthur W. Romp. Request for variance to add to existing Dairy ?,?,ueen <br />Sign at 24579 Lorain Road. With the addition, sign would be in excess <br />of Dermittea square. z"ootage. <br />Rec!uest iB in giolation o£ Or,dinance #62-33, Section 1;25.020 <br />Present: Mr. Romp <br />Mr. Romg explained that the new sign was needPd to advertise Bra.zier Burgers. There is <br />just the Dairy Queen sign at present. Sign is noh* 37 square feet and the new totG.l wouZd <br />be 97 square feet. It was suggestad that Mr. Romp submit plans for a smaller sign since <br />euch a Iarge va.riance could not be grantea. Mr. Roberts moved to continue the case until <br />the next meeting; seconded by Mr. Greene and passed. <br />3. Appellant: Riclard Pracko, 4495 Brenclan Lane. Request for variance to build a house <br />with insufficient rear yard. <br />Request is in violation of Ordinance #6233, Section 1163.02, which <br />re-quires a 501 rear ycird. <br />Present: Mr. and Mrs. ?racko <br />Mro Pracko presented letters from R. G. Bumm a.nd Barbara Slava indicating that they had <br />no obj ections. He also stated that they need this large house to acco*nodate their fami.Iy. <br />Mre GreenE moved to grant a variance of 4.671; seconded by Mr. Forcellini and passed. <br />4. Appellant: Sa.xon's Sandwich Shappe, 26650 Lorain Road. Request for vaxiance to <br />install two crests on base of present sign. <br />R.eauest.is in violation of Ordinance #62-33, Section 1225.02. <br />Presentr Ray Miller, Jr. <br />Mr. Miller pointed out that existing sign is within the code (48 sa,uare feet). He <br />feels tha.t the crests that are 12 square feet in size would add to the appearance o£
