Mr. Forcel?ini noved to grant a v4riance of IO square fEet for <br />acdition of the crests to existing sign; seconded by Mr. Roberts and passea_. <br />5. Appellantc Kenrieth Haas, 5072 Whitethorn. Request for varia.nce to erect an <br />addition to front of existing non-conforming house. A 161 front variance <br />and a 71 sideline variance are requPsted. <br />Request is-in violation of Ordinance /t62-33, Section 1159.0I2 a minimuri <br />Qf 501 setback is required and Section 1161.01, the sum of the two sides <br />shall be not less than 201 -w*ith a minimum of 5' on one side. <br />Present: Mr. and Mrs. Haas, Mr. Reinker, Mr, Crickon <br />Mr. Haas explained that they have seven children and need additional space badly. It <br />is not possible to add to the rear of the house since there is just a 47' rear yard (this <br />is why house is non-conforming), Mr. Reinker pointEd out that the entire street has <br />maintained the 50t setback and he questioned the appearance of the addition extending <br />furthur frontward. Mr. Greene pointed out that the law states that non-conforming <br />buildings shall not be added to or enlarged except when altorations, and enlargements <br />are con.forming v-1th the ordinance. He questioned whether or not the Board has the power <br />to grant a variance. An interpretation-f'rom the Law Director will be reciuested and <br />the case cantinued to the next meetinge <br />6. Request to erect a house at 26763 Driscoll Lane <br />31 too close to the sidelineo <br />Reque:t is in violation of Ord3.nance #62-33, Section 1161.01, the sum <br />of the two sides shall be not less than 151. <br />Present:: Dave Wonsetler <br />Mr. WonsetTer stated that because there are no side Iines perpendicular with the strcety <br />it was very difficult to place a house on this lot. A 3' variance is 'r.aquestea. The <br />adjoining homes are a good distance from the proposed dwell.ing. Mr. Roberts moved to <br />grant a 31 eari4nee; seconcled by Mrs. Eian and passed, <br />7. Appellant: Mario Masciere, 4I82. Brendpn Lane. Recuest to encTose a patio at rear <br />of home. <br />Rea,uest is in violation of Ordinance #62-33, Sect3.on 1163.01 whir.h <br />requires a 501 rear-ya.ra. <br />Pxesent: Mr. Masciere, Kenron Co. representative <br />N1r. Ma.sciere presented photographs of patio enclosures done by the Kenron Co. He ha.s <br />talked to neighbors and they have no objection. It was pointed out that the St. Brendants <br />parking Iot,is at the rear of his lot. Mrss Eian moved, to grant a v-riancQ of 71; <br />seconcled by Mr. Greene a.nd passed. <br />8 e-nd 9. Appellant: Ford. Mator Co., 27932 Lorain Road. Request to use the existing <br />building temporarily and to permit vehicles to be displayed near the <br />siclewalks. R.eauest to erect four pole signs (two of which are over- <br />sized) along property f.rontage. <br />Requests are 'i'n violation of Ordinance #62-33, Section 1174.02 which <br />prohibita displaying merchandise withi.n the 501 setback area and <br />Section 1225.02 regarding signs. ,
