Eian, Mssrs. Greene, Nelson, Roberts, Forcellini <br />Also Presento NIr. Crundy, Building Corilmi.ssioner <br />The minutes of the 9/4/68 meeting were approved as written.. <br />1. Appella.nt: Juris Saliiaj s, 3919 Clague Roac1. Request for special permit to add <br />on to rear of existing non-conforming garage. The: addition confoms <br />to all regulations. <br />Permit requested as per Ordir_ance #62-33, Sections 1231.02 and 1133.12. <br />Present: Mr. and Nlrs. Sa.Inaj s,, IyIr. Les Macs <br />14rs. Salnjas explained that their present garage is not large enough for their station <br />wa.gon a.nd that there is no storage space av3ilable. The garage is attached to the <br />house and is non-conforming in that it is Iocated on a carner Iot and is too close to <br />the side street. They-vrish to add to the length of the garage and the addition conforms <br />to the code. Mr. Macs voiced his approvaT to their pl.an. A4r. Greene moved to gra.nt <br />a special permit; seconded by A4r. Roberts and pagsed. <br />2. Appellant: John Lontor. Recuest for expansion of legal non-conforming use of the <br />Golf Driving Range? 26000 Lorain Road. <br />Pbequest is in vzolation of Ordinance ;!?62-33, Section 1233.0I. <br />Present: Mr. Lontor, Mr. Smith from Len Deri.n Dodge <br />Mr. Lontor stated that he wishes to expand the present business to include a pro ahop, <br />new tees, etc. He plans to pave the existing drivewa,y which is presently a dirt road. <br />A paved walkway wi1Z be added 'plus Iights and poasibly a. fence. He is expanding the use <br />only - not Iand expansion, Effect of the proposed 1?ghts on residents of Canterbury <br />Road was discussed and is was decieled that these residents should be isotified of the <br />proposa.7:. Mrs. Eian inoved.to continue the case to the next meeting; seconded by Mr. <br />Forccllini and passed. <br />3. Appellant: Thomas Kennish, 3313 Columbia Road. Reque,st i'or special permit to add <br />on to rear of existinb non-conf.orming garage. The addition conforms <br />to all regulations. Permit recauested as per Ordinance 7#62-33, Sec-tions 1231.02 and 1133.12. <br /> <br />Pr.esent: Kr. Kennish <br />Mr. Kennish ex}?Iained thsat, he,ha.d previously applied f.or a building pexmit to add to his.garage and that an inspector discQVered that the garage had been built too close <br />to the side lot Zine. He recently heaxc7 that the ordina.nce had been ch?.?.nged.to permit <br />additions to non-conforraing buildings if the addition conforms to the code. His <br />proposed add.ition will conforin and he is requesting a specia.I permit. Mirs. Eian moved <br />to grant a special permit for a conforming a.ddition; seconded by Mr. Roberts and passed.
