The motion died for lack of a secondo Regarding North <br />Park Towers Mr. Fabek stated that this proposal was far 160 suites to be <br />located at 27450 Lorain R.oad extending back to Mill Road, The 1 and 2 <br />bedroom suites are also too small in this proposal, side yards are not <br />adequate FA_A_ approval is lacking and there are also ingress and eg-ress <br />problems, Mr. Bohm cited too high a density, an overcrowcled site with no <br />dedicated street to alleviate traffic. Mr. Esgar stated that it would seem <br />-to him that this would be a reasonable use of the land but that he -Feels <br />parcel is too narrow £or proper developm.ent. Mr. Kleine stated that he had <br />tried to negotiate for additional land but that all efforts on his part had <br />failed. Mr. Fabek moved that because apartments don't mee't the ordinance, <br />side yards are inadequate: traf.fic onto rrtill poad would be excessive and <br />because use of land is more than 30% and FAA approval is not in -the proposa] <br />be rejected. P?r. Leonard seconded the motion. Unanimously passed. <br />(f) lAialter Zaremba Apartment Rezoning -^-Rr. Zaremba reviewed the commEnts made <br />at a meeting held on Sunday with various residents of the area and with <br />members o_f_ the City Administration. He stated that he Felt they should <br />restudy the plans to reflect the thinking of the community. Mr. Byers moved <br />to reauest a 30 day extension of time _for the purpose of additional study. <br />rnr. Fabek seconded the motion. Unanimously passed. ?Rr. Boza and 14r. Molds, <br />both residents of Theresa Lane questioned the developer -regarding storm <br />water problem in the area. They were told that all of problems in this <br />regard would be worked out with the City Engineering Department. <br />(g) R.estrictions on House Movings - Mr. Richards gave a resume o4" the studies <br />made in this regard to date. He cited the Law Director's advice that house <br />m.ovings not be prohibited entirely but that stricter nrovisions be made to <br />give the City furthur control. Mr. Richards moved that -the Planning <br />Commission request that the rrtayor direct that all applications for house <br />moving be referred by the Building Commissioner to the Planning Commission <br />for review and their recommendation to the Buildi.ng Commissioner, ""r. Ledvin; <br />seconded the motion, Ayes, Richards, Leonard, Ledvina, Nelson, Byers. <br />Noes: Fabek Esgar. The motion passed by a 5- 2 vote. Mr. Leonard moved <br />that the Planning_Commission 'recommend._tQ CounciL tnat they furthur study the <br />ordinance on house moving so that it might become more res'trictive so that <br />present problems can be alleviated. Mr. R.ichards seconded the motion. Ayes; <br />Richards., Leonard, Ledvina, Nelson, Byers, Esgar. rlo; Fabek. The moiion <br />nassed by a 6- 1 vote. <br />IV. New Developments and Subdivisions <br />(a) Brook?ark_Extension - Mr. DiBenedetto presented plans for extending Bookpark <br />??.oad through to Dover Center poad. He is reQUesting rezoning to commercial <br />the area fronting on the road. Mr. Ledvina moved to nut the nronosal into <br />committee- seconded by Mr. Fabek and unanimously passed. Mro Leonard, r!!r. <br />Byers and "^r. Fabek will serve on the committee. <br />(b) Sandy Ridge Subdivision Mr. DiBenedetto presented plans ?or the re-- <br />subdivision of lots in Sandy p.idge Subdivision #4 and #5. Mr. Byers moved <br />that the proposal be put into committee° seconded by Mr. Fabek and unanimousl.: <br />passed, Trtr. Fabek and r!r. T?elson will serve on the committee.
