CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED - BOARD OF ZONING APPEALS `l. <br />Regular Meeting held at City Ha11 - October 6, 1971 <br />The meeting tdas called to order at 7:30 P.M. by Chairman John Roberts. <br />-- Those Present: Mr. Roberts, Mrm Scheef, Mr. Berglund, Mr. Tubbs. <br />Also Present: Mro Gundy, Building Commissioner <br />1. Appellants Ronald King, 29565 Dorchester Drive - Continuation of request for <br />special permit for tool shed in rear yard. Request made as per Ordinance <br />#62-33, Section 1133,09. <br />Present: Mr. Ronald King. <br />Mr. King was sworn in. A letter written by the Bretton Ridge Civic Association was read. <br />Mr. King presented a picture of the proposed tool shed and a planned view. Mr. King <br />explained that since he has a basementless home, he needs storage room for a tractor, <br />lawn mower, snow blower, etc. A discussion was held. The board did not think that it <br />has any right to interfere with deed covenantse Mr. Scheef made a motion that the <br />request be denied for the self-preservation of the neighborhood; seconded by Mr. <br />Berglund, with three members voting yes, and Mr. Roberts voting no. The motion was <br />passed, <br />2, Appellant: Mr. Frank I,ima, 26804 Chapel Hi11 Drive - Continuation of request <br />for special permit for tool shed in rear yard. Request made as per Ord. #62-33, <br />Section 1133.09. <br />Present: Mrs. Lima. <br />Mrs. Lima was sworn in. Mrs. Lima presented new plans and a picture of the proposed <br />tool shed. A discussion was held and Mr. Tubbs made a motion to deny the request. <br />Mre Scheef seconded the motion. A vote was taken and the request was denied, with <br />Mr. Roberts voting no. <br />3. Appellant: Francis Ke11ey, 3685 Walter Rd. - Request for variance (1133.13) <br />to erect detached garage 14' from adjacent dwelling. Request is in violation <br />of Ord, #62-33, Section 1151.04, which requires a minimum of 20, between <br />detached.garage and any dtaelling. <br />Present: Mrs. Ke11ey, <br />Mrso Ke11ey was sworn in. P1ans were presented. Mr. Scheef suggested that the garage be <br />attached, as the garage would be much wider than the house if detached. Mrs. Ke11ey said <br />that it would cost between $3,000.00 and $4,000.00 more. Mr. Scheef stated that he would <br />like to see a picture of the proposed garage. Mr. T.ibbs made a motion to continue the <br />case at the next meeting and requested that Mrs. Kelley submit some kind of height and <br />pictorial draraing of what the garage would look 1ike. It was seconded by Mre Berglund <br />and unanimously agreed to continue this case. <br />4. Appellant: Richard Radtiray, 5460 Burns Rd. - Request for special permit to <br />add to non-conforming dwelling. Permit requested as per Ordinance #62-33, <br />Section 1231.02, <br />Present: Mrs. Radway and several adjoining neighbors. <br />All witnesses were sworn in. P1ans were presented. lhe neighbors said that there would <br />be no objection, Mr. Tubbs made a motion to approve the request; 5econded by Mr. Scheef <br />and unanimously passed.
