Sign #3 applied for and <br />asked for a variance of 96 sq. ft., Sign #4, 62 sq. fte and sign #5, ' <br />104 sq. ft. Po1e sign 225 sq. ft. on one side. The sign area variance <br />requested at this hearing is 487 sq. ft. <br />Discussion was held. Mrs. Julia Brown, member of the Audience, objected <br />to the massive sign variance as requested: The Board concluded that <br />the request was too great. Mra Haddad agreed that he would consult <br />with his clients and ask for a possible reduction in the sign area. <br />A motion was made by Mrs. Eian, seconded by Mr. Burgland to continue <br />this hearing, to give the Firestone Store an opportunity to present <br />other plans at the next meeting of the Board. This motion was <br />unanimously approved. <br />11. Appellant: Hennie Homes, represented by Raymond Puzzietello. This is a request <br />to erect a dwelling at 24698 Randall Drive, which necessitates a <br />5.69 Front Setback variance from Vernon Drive, in violation of <br />Ordinance #62-33. He stated the lot was only 71.81 ft. wide, and he <br />was unable to build and comply with the Ordinance requiring 25 fte <br />building line from Vernon Drive. <br />Plans and elevations were shown and checkedo Discussion was held <br />by the Board. Interested neighbors in attendance were: M.E.Wayne <br />and Ralph Hunt. After perusal of the plans, the neighbors did not <br />object to this variance. Motion was made by Mr. Tubbs to grant <br />a 5 ft. 8 in. variance, seconded by Mr. Scheef. Unanimously approved. <br />12. Appellant: Raymond Jost, 23745 Mapleridge Rd., requesting to erect a detached <br />garage 16 ft. from his existing dwelling in violation of Ordinance <br />#62-33. N1ro Jost appeared before the Board and stated that due to <br />the size of his lot this variance was required, it was also explained <br />the neighborhood was built up in the 1940s and other garages in the <br />neighborhood were typical of this request. <br />The board studied the proposal and plans on file. Motion was made by <br />Mr. Tubbs, seconded by Mrs. Eian to approve a 4 ft. variance.
