? r <br />Page 3 Zoning Brd. of Appeals Minutes Meeting July 7,1971 <br />7. Appellant: Louis Furyes, 3876 Winton Park Drive, requesting 60 fto of 6' fence, <br />in violation of Ordinance #62-33. Mr. Furyes explained he wished the <br />additional height on this fence to shield his property and eliminate <br />odor from the North Olmsted Sewerage Lift Station, which is located <br />behind his propertym Neighbors Edward Greis, and S.E.Bartko appeared <br />and voiced no objection to the proposal. A letter from William and <br />Patricia Martin, 26970 Chapel Hi11 Drive was read for the record, <br />with no objection to the proposal, if the fence were installed on the <br />West and Rear property lines on1y. Further study was madeo Mr. Scheef <br />made a motion to approve the variance request, seconded by Mrs. Eian, <br />unanimously approved. <br />8. Appellant: J. S. Deacon, 4492 Camellia Drive, Request to build enclosed porch <br />in violation of Ordinance #62-33. Mr. Deacon appeared and stated <br />that to establish, in conformity, he would only be permitted to build <br />a 7 ft. porch. <br />The proposal was further explained to the Board and additional <br />information furnished. The patio generally will conform to other <br />existing houses in the area. Motion was made by Mrs. Eian and <br />seconded by Mr. Tubbs to grant a three feet variance and was <br />unanimously approved. <br />9. Appellant: Frank A. Olson, 28521 Aspen Drive, requesting to erect an addition in <br />violation of Ordinance #62-33o Mr. and Mrs. Olson were unable to <br />appear in person at this meeting as they were called away for an <br />emergency. Appearing for the Appellant was Mrs. Suesse, 28547 Aspen <br />Drive, the drawing was explained to the Board. 'I'h.e existing distance <br />from the rear of the house to the rear property line is 55 ft. the <br />5 ft. permitted by ordinance would not be enough. 'I`h.e Board evaluated <br />the information and motion was made by Mr. Scheef and seconded by <br />Mrs. Eian to approve a 7 ft. variance. Four members voted yes, Mr. <br />Tubbs voted no. Motion was approved. <br />10. Appellant:Firestone Tire Co., Great Northern Boulevard, to erect signs in <br />violation of Ordinance #62-33. Representing the Appellant was <br />Mr. Haddad from the Brilliant Electric Sign Coo He stated that due <br />to the heavy competition in the immediate area of the Firestone <br />Business site and the competitors selling the same type of inerchandise, <br />these signs are designed and required because of the location of the <br />Service Store and to get the view of Lorain Rd., Great Northern B1vd., <br />and Brookpark Rd, <br />The facia signs #3, 4 and 5 on the submitted plans were explained <br />and identified. In addition to these signs, a pole sign variance is <br />required, making a total of four signs under consideration. <br />The Bldg. Dept. reported the total sign area approved for this site <br />is 215 Sq. Ft. according to Ordinance #62-33. Sign Permits #14106 <br />and #14107 were issued in June of 1971 with a total square footage <br />appropriated of 197 sq. ft. These signs are now installed.
