<br />Zoning Board of ,Appeals 9-6-72 i'age 2 <br />Present: Mr. Brunders, 5uperintendant of Marjak Development Co. representing <br />Mr. Brown9 Jack Kelly, Carl Pfaff and Julia Brown. <br />Witnesses were administered the oath. Mro Brunders stated there is identificz- <br />tion problem. There is confusion betwwn Great 1Vorthern Blvd. and Great Northern <br />Shopping Center. The Olmsted Plaza sign is down. Mro Pfzff stated variance <br />was granted at earlier (June 7) meeting for oversize pole sign 6' x 13'6". Ad- <br />dition to this sign being requested at this time is 3' x 18'. Mro Roberts <br />stated sign that was up did not seem to be too large; it needs to be seen from <br />bo-th I,orain Rd. and Brookpark Road; it services the whole area. Mr. Pfaff said <br />a variance has been granted. What will they want in their next request? Jack <br />Kelly spoke against the signs. Julia Brown spoke against zny more signs to <br />identify. Mr. Tubbs read the requesto Tree lawns are bad, back neecs asphalt. <br />Mr. Tubbs vionders how this much addition to sign will be of great benefite A <br />temporary sign might be the answer. There is a grand opening for every store. <br />Ntrs. Eian moved to deny the request. Mr. Berglund seconded and the motion <br />passed unanimously. <br />5. Francis J. McCrone, 5361 Triellesley Ave. Request for variance (1133.13) Re- <br />quest is for variance of 20 ft. front setback. Violation of Ord. 62-33 Sec° <br />tion 1159.01 which sets maximum setback at 70 ft. <br />Present: Robert Balant and I,arry Baker who were administered the oath. Lot <br />is 509 wide and 2501 deep. The house is to set sidewayso The lot is deep <br />enough and will conform with neighbors'o Mr. Roberts moved to grant request <br />for 20' variance in front set-back. Mr. Berglund seconded and the motian <br />passed unanimously. <br />6. Robert F. Pietrykowski, 5446 Revere Dr. -Request for variance (1133.13 ) Re- <br />quest is for speciaZ permit to erect ?;storage shed inviolation of Ord. 62-33 <br />Section 1133.09. <br />:Present:," Iirs.;?Fietrykowski who waa administered the oath. Witness stated <br />needfor storage shed is outlincd in applicatione Hers is a basementless <br />home. Proposed shed will be located 699 from any bldgo on owners' lot and <br />231 from any b1dg. on any adjoining lot. Shed is to be 10' x 101 on con- <br />crete. No neighbors came forward to objecta There is a natural barrier of <br />trees and shrubs. Her lot is 150° x 70' in B residence 2rea with attached <br />garage. There is large barn on property adjoining. Mr. Berglund moved to <br />grant special permit for tool shed9 with surrounding shrubs if neededo Mr. <br />Roberts seconded and the motion passed 3- 1 with Mr. Tubbs voting noo <br />7. Frederick S. Previts, 23521 Carriage Lane. Request for variznce (1133.13) <br />Request for special permit to erect storage shed in violation of Ord. 62-33 <br />:ection 1133•09 <br />Presant: Mr. Frcvits, Vho_ was-:,sadmin3stered the oath. He needs tool shed be- <br />cause he has 2 cars, 2 bikes, chairs, tables, power mower and other tools. <br />Prvposed shed is to be 71 high znd to be located 8' behind his house. Mre <br />.Previts showed lay-out. Easement on property and 5' high privet hedge. <br />Neighbors on uharon have sheds. Mr. Roberts moved to grant special permit <br />for tool shed as par sketch (7' x 101) with hedges or some kind of ground <br />cover to conform with grounds. Mrc. Eian seconded and the motion passed <br />unanimously.
