CITY OF NORTH OLNSTED - BOARD OF ZONING APPEALS <br />Regular Meeting held at Cit,y Hall-June 7, 1972 <br />The meeting was called to order at 7:30 by Vice Chairman William Scheef <br />Present: Mr. Scheef, Nk. Roberts and Yzs. Eian <br />Also Fresenta Mr. Gundy, Building Commissioner. <br />1. Rehearing of question regarding fence and guard rail in- <br />stallation at 4488 Columbia Rd. on the property of Mr. <br />Langehane <br />Present: Mr. and Mrs. Langehan and NTr. and Mrs. Farkaso Mr. Langehan <br />and Mr. Farkas were staorn in. <br />Mr. Roberts recommended the railroad tie be anchored just a bove graund <br />to prevent hitting of fence. Mr. Roberts moved the Board's ruling is <br />guardrail is not part of residential fence. Mrs. Eian seconded the mo- <br />tion. Discussion was held regarding driving into fence. Mr. Gundy will <br />go to Law Director for ls gal ruling and advise Mr. Zangehan of the re- <br />sults. Mro Scheef explained neighbors' responsibility regarding fence. <br />Motion passed. <br />2. Hennie Homes, Inc. Continuance of request for variance <br />(1133•13) of 3 ft. on the side yard for residence to be <br />built in Sandy Ridge Subdivision #6 between Edge park Blvd. <br />and Blossom Blvd. at 390 Wood Park Lane. Request is in <br />violation of Ord. 62-33 Section 1159.02 which requires 25 <br />ft. side yard on corner lot. <br />Inasmuch as Norman Musial (a new neighbor) was not notified this case is <br />to be continued. <br />3. Appellant: Stephen Yanochko' 3709 W. 230th St. Request for <br />6 ft. variance to enable him to build patio. Violation of <br />Ord. 62-33 Section 1151.04 which requires 20 ft. between <br />house and garage. <br />Present: Stephen Yanochko. <br />Witness was sworn in. Plans were studied by the Board. Mrs. Eian moved <br />to grant the variance. Nlr. Roberts seconded the motion. Motion passed. <br />1t. Walter Pelech, Waldo's Nursery, 23460 Lorain Rd. Request <br />for variance (1133.13). Request to display merchandise in <br />front setback area in violatio n of Ord. 62-33 Section 1174. <br />02 Par. 6- not permitted to display merchandise in set back <br />area. <br />i'resent: Walter Pelech <br />Witness was sworn in. The building is 15 ft. from sidewalk and is non- <br />conforming. Ns. Roberts wishes to abstain from voting on this matter. <br />With only two members voting the case must be mntinued.
