Board of Zoning Appeals June 7, 1972 Page 2 <br />5. Appellant: Paul Ross, 28178 Wisteria Dr. Request for variance <br />(1133.13) to erect a 6 ft privacy fence. Violation of Ord. 62-33 <br />Section 1151.0L limiting height of f ence to 4 ft. <br />Present: Paul Ross. <br />Ms. Ross was administered the oath. Plot plan and letter were examined by the <br />Board. Nine neighbors had signed approval of variance. Mrso Eian moved to <br />grant 2 ft, variance for 6 ft. fence commencing at rear easterly corner of <br />patio going west 46 ft. Mr. Roberts seconded the motion and motion passed. <br />6. Appellants George, Helen and Mark McAee, 4614 Great Northern <br />Blvd. Request f or variance (1133a13). Request to erect single <br />face sign o n taall. Violation of Orde 62-33, Section 1225.02 - <br />total allotted sq. ft. area fo r signs for Ol,msted Plaza Shopping <br />Center has been used. <br />Present: George, Helen and iviark McKee, Mr. Glazer, John Kelly, Carl Pfaff, <br />Mx. Boyer and James Frokasy, Councilman. All witnesses were administered <br />the oath. <br />Mr. Prokasy suggested code needs changes. He further stated that he is generally <br />opposed to additional signs; that there is something remiss in the ordinance. Mr. <br />Gundy gave genera.l review of all signs in Olmsted Plaza Shopping area. Mr. Glaz- <br />er said there would be no back signs. Neighbors present therefore did not ob- <br />ject. Mr. Roberts moved to grant 72 ft. sign variance. Mrs. Eian seconded and <br />the motion passed, <br />7. Appella.nt: Olmsted Plaza Shopping Center, 4614 Great Northern <br />Blvd. Request f or variance (1133.13 ). Reque st to irstall pole <br />and sign 5' x 1316" in violation of Ord. 62-33 Section 1225.102 <br />(E-4) "The maximum size one face of any pole sign shall not ex- <br />ceed 50 sq. ft." <br />Present: Same witnesses as above. <br />Identification is rieeded for the Plaza.. Neighbors ask if sign will be in opera- <br />tion all night. N'?r. Roberts moved to grant variance £or pole sign of 61 x 13° <br />611 to be located in set back area subject to approval of Safety Director. Mo- <br />tion was seconded by Mrs. Eian. Motion passed. <br />8. Appellant: Elmer J. Smith, 5324 Berkshire Dr. Request for vari- <br />ance (1133.13) for a special permit to erect tool shed in yard. <br />Request is in violation of Ord. 62-33 Section 1133.09. <br />Present: Elmer J. Smith, Earl Frael3:ch,, Eleanor Bender., M. Massaro. <br />Mr. and Mrs. Smith were administered the oath. Mr. Smith stated his need for <br />shed and said the new, more attractive shed will replace old metal shed and <br />that he does not plan to erect metal shed any place else on his property:. <br />Mrs. Eian moved to grant special permit to erect wood tool shed to replace <br />existing metal shed at same location. Mr. Ro berts Eeconded and the motion <br />gassed.
