' <br />CITY OF NQRTH OLA9STED - BOARD OF ZONING APPEALS <br />Regular 1?eeting held at City -kall - May 3, 1972 <br />The meeting was called to order at 7:45 p.m. by Chairman William Tubbs <br />Pr°eGent: Mr. Tubbs, Mr. Roberts, Mrs. Eian <br />Also Present: A`fr. Gundy, Building Commissioner. <br />Chairman Tubbs announced that the first hearing is to be regarding fence <br />and guard rail installation at 4488 Columbia Rd. on the property of Mr. <br />Langehan. Next door neighbor, Nlr. Paul Farkas, 11506 Columbia Rd. objected <br />by letter to Mr. Gund.y. Mr. Langehan and Yx. Farkas were present and <br />argued tlzeir points. Mr. Ftoberts moved to continue the case until the <br />Board has time to examine the problem. Mrs. Eian seconded the motion. <br />Motion carried. <br />le Appellant: Oner M. Kurkcu, Agent of Motil Oil Co.,.20950 <br />Center Ridge Rd, Continuance of reque st for variance <br />(1133a13) to build car wash at Mobil Oil Station9 26170 <br />Lorain Rd.j North 0lmsted, Request is in violation of Ord. <br />#62-33 Section 1213,02s Location of access driveways and <br />Section 1174.02: Building set back shall be at least 50 <br />ft. from street' no business activity to be conducted in <br />set back area. <br />Present: Mr. Ammsdell, Mr. Herschman, Mr. Jackman, Mr. Kurkcu and neighbors <br />Nirm Szabo and Mre Loser. <br />kitnesses were sworn in. Plans were presented including model. Improved <br />car servicing methods were explained. Neighbors cited traffic congestion <br />at intersection of Canterbuxy and Lorain. Mr. Roberts made a motion that <br />the request for variance be denied. Motion was seeended by Mrs. Eian. The <br />motion was passed unanimous],y. <br />2e Appellant: Charles E. Martin, 4546 Coe Avee Request for <br />variance (1133.13) for 2 fto side line variance. Violation <br />of Ord. 62-33 Section 1151.04 (c) which requires 5 ft. side <br />line for detached garage. <br />Present: Mri and Mrs. Nlartin. <br />Witnesses were sworn inA Mr. P+iartin showed his plans. A short discusgion <br />follawed. TV1rs. Eian moved to grant 2 ft. side line variance. Mr. Roberts <br />seconded the rrati.ona Motion passed unanimousl,y. <br />3s Apgellafit:' ,Roma1? E. Schneid, 28522 Aspen I3r. Request for <br />variance (1133.13 to build addition to non-conforming buil.d- <br />ing in violation of Ord. #62>33 Section 1231.02 (existing <br />dwelling is 3 ft. from side line). Also requesting 12 ft. <br />rear yard variance in violation of Ord. #62-33 Section 1163.01: <br />The minimum depth of the back yard shall be 50 ft. <br />Present: Mr. Schneid - <br />Witness was sworn in: Appellant's plans were discussed; there will be 3 ft. <br />side line remaining after addition is built. Mr. Roberts moved to grant 12 ft. <br />rear yard variance, seconded by Mrs. Eian. Motion passed unanimously.
