Ca11 <br />The meeting was called to order by Chairman Davis at 8000 p.m. <br />Those present were: Nlessrs. Davis*, Elliott, RTichards, Tubby <br />Byers and Brewer. <br />Also present: Mike Karhan, City Engineer, Dave A1cDermott, <br />Assistant to City Fngineer9 Ernest Gundy, Building Commis- <br />sioner; Councilmen Limpert, Speedling, Geisser, Saringer; <br />Ivir. R.obert Svoboda from Regiorial Planning Commission and <br />his assistant, N1r. Kostelac; and Virginia Hodgins, Record- <br />ing Secretary. <br />IZ. Reading and Correction of Nlinutes <br />Mr. Richards moved rninutes of January 9., 1973 meeting be ap- <br />proved as submitted. i'1r. Flliott seconded and motion passed <br />,volith all present vo-ting yes except 1lZrm Tubbs vho abstaineda <br />III. Building Department Requests <br />(a) N'zr. Gundy presented plan for Romps' Corners, continued <br />from last meeting. The rear of proposed parking 1ot <br />will approximate the back of A& P parking. The first <br />house south of proposed parking lot -?%7ill come downo <br />There t,iill be planting and grass along back side. Mra <br />E1liott moved to approve plan, seconded by 11r. Richards <br />and passed unanimously. <br />(b) Mr. Gund.y presented proposal to add 1,050 sq. ft. addi- <br />tion to Dlmsted Professional Building owned by Jerry Con- <br />iglio. The building is non-conforming by virtue of its <br />setback from Lorain Rdo (Less than 50 ft,). 29 parking <br />spaces are required with 40 provided. Matter has been <br />referred to Zoning Board of Appeals. There is question <br />regarding drainage. Mr. Karhan said he has not heard <br />from Mr. Conigl.io regarding the drainage problem. Zhe <br />plan meets all legal requirements. Mr. Brever moved to <br />accept the plan. Mr. Byers seconded. NIessrs. Brewer, <br />Byers, Ell.iott, Tubbs, and Davis voted in favor with 1 r. <br />Ri,chards voting no. <br />(c) Cleary Realty Bldg. (Robert Hall Bldg.) <br />a This is change of occupancy request. There are 8500 <br />sq. ft. in building. 43 parking spaces are requi.red <br />hith 59 provided. The 7 ft. landscaped strip is not <br />provided. No one came forth to explain plan or initial <br />it. Request is to be continued inasmuch as it must in- <br />clude 7,ft. landscaped strip.
