Thcse present were: Messrs. Davis, Byers, Brewer, <br />Elliott, Ledvina, Richards and Tubbs. <br />tilso present: Mr. Gundy, Building Ccmmissioner, Mike Kar- <br />han, Cit.y Engineer and his assistant Dave <br />McDermott9 Councilmen 11-aringer and ?rJest, Mr. <br />Carnahan, NIr. Ross of Citizens Advisory Com- -mittee and Virginia Hodgins Recording Secty. <br />II. Reading and Correction of Minutes. <br />Mr. Ledvina moved to approve minutes, seconded by Pir. Brewer <br />and passed. <br />III. Building Department Requests <br />? (a) Nr. Gundy presented plans for change in rooms in ban- <br />quet center, ldorth Olmsted Shopping Center k?hich Kitch- <br />en Maid Meats will be open?:ing in the former Grant' p- <br />Store. No parking or drivewa:y approval is needed. Lo- <br />cation is 28364 Lorain Rd. <br />(b) Mr.%'Pandy presented plans for office building to replace <br />house purchased by H G M. 6400 square feet of area with- <br />in, requiring 32 parking spaces. 41 parking spaces are <br />shown in plan, Planting strip is provided. Location is <br />'West Park & Lorain Rd. ZTick Del Guidice presented topo <br />showing parking and setback. Plan must still go through <br />Engineering Departmente Plans for H G 1`,i sales staff on <br />first floor, second floor to be rented to sales representa- <br />tives. Planning Commission members suggest,ed retnoval of <br />9 parking spaces in front for green area. Mr. Ledvina <br />moved to apprqve plan. Mr:. Richards seconded the motion. <br />During discussion it was stated that it is important to <br />H G M. to have excess parking. Planning Commission has <br />no legal way to eliminate front parking. iir. Del Guidice <br />will attempt 9 ft. front planting area. Al1 members vot- <br />ed in favor of approval. <br />(c) NIr. Gundy presented plan for Kuhlman Oldsmobile to be <br />locatPd at 27524 Lorain Rd. Zoning Board at its Dec. <br />1972 meeting granted permission for displa,y in 50 ft. <br />setback. Proper amount of parking is arranF-ed (351 <br />car spaces) for customer parking, display cars9 employee <br />parking and storage. There is sufficient parking for <br />gaxage and office area. Plan meets the ordinance.
