There have been revisions since April 5. <br />Official street map was shQwn. It goes along with chapter <br />to be added to code, preserving land for public use. Desir- <br />able street patterns in areas to be developed were shvwn. <br />Planning now taill give City opportunity to review proposals <br />of developers. Map shows areas owned by city and school <br />board to date. Street patterns reflect ideas presented and <br />have good subdivision design; showing a number of access <br />points and avoidance of land locked parcels in the future. <br />Proposed parks are shown also areas in process of acquisi- <br />tion by city and school board. There is need for three ad- <br />ditional elementary schools. The present high school is <br />•adequate with addition and taith new vocational high school. <br />Plan is to conver-t Pine School back to original use as junior <br />high school, which along with addition to existing junior <br />high school will be adequate. <br />Mr. Ernest of I,orain Road asked about existing retail use on <br />Lorain Rd., if it will become non-conforming under new plan. <br />He was told Planning Commi.ssion will be doing extensive study <br />of this matter in the next month. Planning Commission now has <br />starting point to make this study. <br />Joe Corrigan of Brighton Drive asked about termination of pro- <br />gram and if Citizens Advisory Committee has had suffici.ent <br />rapport and input to Regional Planning Commission. He asked <br />if Regional Planning Commission takes precedence over wishes <br />of Citi2ens' Advisory Committee in matter of Stearns Rd. The <br />m2tter of Stearns Rd. is the only overriding of Citizens' kd- <br />visory Committee. This happened because transportation agen- <br />cies have Stearns Rd. existing in planning stages. <br />A lady from Zorain Rd. inquired about pre-described criteria, <br />upon w hat is it based? She was told a tremendous amount of <br />excessive commercial area would develop along Lorain Rd. un- <br />der present zoning. Desire was to reduce area of retail. <br />Each community is individual. <br />Capital Improvements reflects for next five years recommenda- <br />tions that have been made for Community Facilities P1an. Mr. <br />Svoboda had talked with all departments in the city regarding <br />their plans and desires for the next five years. He was ask- <br />ed if facilities being recommended are financially feasiblea <br />Fiscal structure, debts, revenue, millage, evaluation, tax <br />structure have been studied, and comparisons made with other <br />communities are shown in Table 3.
