CUM of Nvx#4 ODims#ebr, (04to <br />BOARD OF ZONING APPEALS <br />June 6, 1973 <br />The regular meeting of the Board of Zoning Appeals was called to order by Chair- <br />man Scheef at 7:34 p.m. <br />The following members were present: Chr. Scheef, Messrs. Roberts, Hamill, Duskey <br />and Pirs, Eian. <br />Also present: Mr. Gundy, Building Commissioner and Mrse Virginia Hodgins? Re- <br />cording Secretary. <br />Kermit E. Croston9 28410 $pruce Dr. Continuance of reque st for variance <br />1133.13 . Request for 3 ft. variance between house and garage. Viola- <br />tion of Ord. 62-33 LOjection 1151,04 (C) which requires 15 ft. between pr°o- <br />posed garage addition and adjacent dwelling. <br />Present: Mrs and Mrs. Crosto n and Mr. and Mrs. Hansen. Witnesses were <br />administered the oath. Mr. Roberts had made on site inspection and sug- <br />gested reduction in variance to 2 fta Mr. Hansen said he is interested <br />in maintaining space required. 1 ft. variance was co nsidered. Most <br />homes in the area are two car garage. Mr. Roberts moved to grant 1 ft. <br />variance. Mre Hamill seconded and motion passec3 with all members present <br />voting in favor. At this time i'Ir. Hansen withdrew objections. Mr. Roberts <br />changed his motion to grant 2 fte variancee Mr. Duskey seconded and mo- <br />tion passed with all members voting in favor. <br />l. Mobil Oil Co.? 26170 Lorain Rd. Request for variance (1133.13)o Request <br />for pump islands. Violation of Orde 62-33 Section 1174}°. ...setback <br />shall be maintained at least fifty feet from the street. ..no structure <br />shall be maintained, nor shall goods be sold, nor sha]1 merchandise be <br />displayed nor shall any business activity be conducted with the said set- <br />back area!; etce <br />Present: Messrs. Ansdell, Jaclanan, 5zabo, Haas, Cletus, Cook and Cowens. <br />Witnesses were administered the oatho Mr. 5cheeff read the case. Mr. <br />Ansdell said it is the second"time this case has come before the Board. <br />After i:he first time plans went back to the drawing board for redesign. <br />Mr. Jaclanan explained traffic pattern as proposed. Mro Jacknan looks at <br />plan as an engineer for Mobil as well as traffic engineer for the City <br />improving traffic lights and traffic flow (resignalization). Neighbors <br />had questions concerning traffic, screeni.ng, ice from water from car washo <br />Planned are two curb cuts on Canterbury and one cim b cut on Lorain Rde <br />Projection is 200 cars per day' 36 vehicles can be stored on site. Hours <br />are to be 7 aom. to 9 p.me On peak days 1,000 cars can be accommodated. <br />Mr. Hamill moved variances as requested be granted taith the following <br />stipulations: north lot line - 6 fto chain link fence with woven plastic <br />inserts and trash bin to be landscaped. Mr. Roberts seconded and motion <br />passed with all members vo ting in favar°.
