Violation <br />of Ord. 62-33 Section 1225.02, oversize sign. <br />Present: Victor Rauser, Ju1ia Bromn, Councilman Speedling and Council- <br />man Saringer. Witnesses were administered the oath. Acting Chairman <br />Roberts read the request. Sign is to be continually lighted, non-flash- <br />ing of steel and plastic and will read "Buckeye House affiliated with <br />Friendship Inns". Company has mandatory requirement for 4' x 6' pole <br />sign. Present 15° x 101 sign is to be removed. New sign will be 6 sq. <br />ft. oversize and is to be placed 15 ft. back from the street. ivir. <br />Berglund moved to grant the 6 sq. ft. variance for sign, location of <br />which is to be secured by Safety Director. Witness was administered the oathe Lot size is 09' <br />in length and 60' in width. He needs the tool shed for lawn motiaer as he <br />has no garage. Proposed shed is to be aluminium, 81 x 71, corrugated metal, <br />anchored to ground. There are trees on the lot. Mrs. Eian moved to grant <br />special permit to build tool shedo P4r. Berglund seconded the motion. All <br />votEd in favor except iMr. De Paola who abstained. <br />6. Hennie Homes, 28867 Lorain Rd. Request for variance (1133•13). Request <br />for variance at 5868 Dorothy Drife for L ft. rear .yard setback. Viola- <br />tion of Ord, 62-33 Section 1163.01 requiring 50 ft. rear yard. <br />Present: Mr, Puzzitiello, Nfro Boettler, Mrs. Harsany and others. Wit- <br />nesses were administered the oath. Home is to be built on the west side <br />of the street on lot 70' x 155'. Home is to be increased in size by 88 <br />sq. f't. el.iminating the need for tool shed. There is 100' of dead land <br />behind lot belonging to Forest City and lots are deep on t7acY•.enzie -which <br />is adjoining street. Mr. De Paola moved to grant h fts rear yard vari- <br />and. Mr. Berglund seconded and the motion passed unanimously. <br />7. Request to exchange rear yard requixements to less than 50 ft. and <br />add to side yard requirements to achieve 35 ft. side yard. Violation of <br />Ord. 62-33 Section 1163.01 requiring 50 ft. rear yard. <br />Present: Mr..yJatson and neighbors. tiJitnesses were administered the oath. <br />Mr. R.oberts read the case. It was stated Garden City was platted in 1923 <br />and this is an odd shaped lot. Drainage, direction home will face, height <br />and the fact the home could become an asset to neighborhood were all con- <br />sidered. The case is to be continued until the next meeting,to enable <br />the board to make an on site inspection of the property.
