Zoning Board of Appeals 6-5-74 <br />- 2 - <br />Present: W. Welke, Councilman Wilamosky2 Mr. and Mrs. Dapsis and Mr. Rubel. <br />Case and appeal were read. Witnesses were adm.inistered the oath. <br />Mr. Welke stated other side yards in,area do not conform to code. <br />Mrs. Dapsis said she would like to see the lot developed. Board <br />members studied plans. There was some discussion includirig ques- <br />- tion asked by CounciLnan Wilamosky regarding drainage. Mr. Tubbs <br />moved 13 ft. side yard variance be granted at 5443 Dorothy Dr. <br />Mr. Roberts seconded. Mr. Ledvina voted nay; aIl others voted age. <br />Motion passed.. <br />Continuance of hearing of request of The Instep; 4615 Great Northern Blvd. <br />Request for variance (1133•13). Request for sign. Violation of Ord. 62-33 <br />Section 1225.02 (total allotted sq. ft. area for signs for store complex has <br />been .used. ) <br />Present: A. Eckenhauer representing Sixkin Industries. Witness was ad- <br />ministered the oath. Plan for sign for sport shoe store was <br />submitted. Board members questioned Mr. Gundy who explained in- <br />adequacy of sign ordinance; it should be increased in a strip <br />center. All signs in the store complex are relatively the same <br />size as the one proposed. An overall site plan in regard to <br />signs needs to be studied. Mr. Ledvina moved to continue in <br />order to give the Building Department time to prepare some t'y.pe <br />of schematic sign study of entire area. 14r. Tubbs seconded and <br />mot,ion to continue passed. <br />1. Leslie W. Jockers, 3512 Hunter Dr. Request for variance (1133•13)• Re- <br />quest for variance between house and.garage. Violation of Ord. 62-33 <br />5ection 1151.04' (c) requiring 20 ft. <br />Present: Mrs. Jockers and Mr. Yash.' Case and appeal were read. Witnesses <br />were administered the oath; plans were studied. Mr. Iedvina mov- <br />ed variance be given for 5 ft. between garage and house and a vari- <br />ance for 3 ft. in rear yard. Mr. Duskey seconded. Motion passed. <br />2. John R. Bowers, 26845 Chapel Hill Dr. Reqizest for variance (1133.13). R.e- <br />quest for special permit to erect tool shed. Violation of Ord. 62-33 Section <br />1133.09. <br />Present: Thomas Mangan representing Mr. Bowers. Lot is 70 ft. front x 155 fte <br />deep and there is existing tool shed. Mr. Roberts moved to continue <br />so board meinbers can examine tool shed and area and drawing can be <br />made on application. Mr. Zednina seconded. Messrs. Roberts, Ledvina. <br />Tubbs.and Hamill voted aye. N1r. Duskey voted nay. Motion to continue <br />passed. <br />3. Karl Kiesel c%.;Severs & Glavas Co. 130 Lodi St., Elyria, 0. 44035. request <br />for variance (1133•13). ftequest for rezoning for drive in residential area <br />permanent parcel No. 233-7-24 on Barton Rd. Violation of Ord. 62-33 Section <br />1151.04. Present: Mr. Glavas, Councilman Wilamosky and others who were adminiatered <br />the oath. .Law Director Gareau explained legal opinion he had rendered <br />regarding in gress and'egress irito multifamily. He feels this case <br />does not need variance. Mr. Glavis stated drive will be constructed <br />according to city specifications and will be used only for ingress and <br />egress. Mr. Tubbs moved to continue one time only , seconded by Mr. <br />Duskeg. Messrs. Tubbs, Duskey, Ledvina and Hamill voted ave. Mr. <br />Roberts voted nay. Motion to continue passed.
