Planning Commission 1-22-74 = 4 - <br />? <br />?- to be made into cu1 de sac. Again the retention basis was <br />discussed. Right of way and each lot need examination by <br />engineer. Zoning in area is B. Mr. Elliott moved to place <br />in committee. Mrs. Eian seconded and motion passed-. <br />(d) Marathon Oil Co. <br />Appearing before the Commission at this time taere Mr. Mays <br />and Mr. Dobson representing PZarathon Oil Co. and Mre and Mrs. <br />Roloff, property owners. Request is for rezoning 3/4 acre <br />from industrial to commercial. Plans are for motel, restau- <br />rant and service station. 20 acres of proposed site are in <br />North Ridgeville and 3/4 acre in North Olmsted. North Ridge- <br />ville portion is zoned for commercial use and North Olmsted <br />portion is zoned for industrial use. Chairman Richards ex- <br />plained how time consuming rezoning can bee Mr. Brewer mov- <br />ed to recommend approval. Mrs. Fian seconded and motion passed. <br />VI. Communications - No Items <br />VII. Committee Reports <br />Mra Ernest from the audience asked about bringing forward the <br />updating of Comprehensive Map, review of Zoning Code, new maps <br />and study of outdated restriction on location of tavernso Chair- <br />man Richards acknowledged Mr. Ernest's reminderso Chairman <br />Richards said it is possible for Planning Commission to go for- <br />ward Tiaithout further meetings of Citizens Advisory Committee. <br />Chairman Richards then commented on newspaper reporting. The <br />fact is Planning Commission considered only une site for lo- <br />cation of Recreation Center and this is behind Len Derine <br />It was announced Committee utructure vill remain, members to <br />be named later for Zoning Ordinance Review Committee, Housing <br />Committee, Sign Review Committee, and House Moving Committee. <br />Mr. Davis and Mr. Tischler were designated to serve as Recrea- <br />tion Commission representatives from Planning Commissiono <br />VIIIe New Business <br />Chairman Richards designated himself and Recording Lecretary <br />Hodgins as the only persons to confer with newspapers and only <br />what is in minuteso Accuracy and ethics are appreciated in <br />newspapers. <br />IX.
