P <br />Planning Commission 4-23-74 <br />-3- <br />Originally Martin Ilrive to S/L 4 and 5was proposed to be <br />asphalt, but has been changed to comply with the ordinance. <br />The developers will pay for improvements. Drainage is of <br />some concern to neighbors.. I•:ater drains to T:,iestlake. This <br />is natural watercourse. Development plans call for re- <br />grading of existing ditcho <br />(10:40 p.m. - NIr. Brewer left the meeting at this time) <br />Improvements must be installed before further development <br />of the 8 lots. The ditch must be maintained during con- <br />structiono A certain red maple tree was mentioned, Mro <br />McDermott will look at drawing of road with accommodation <br />of existing tree in mind. NIr. Bauer wi1.l make every con- <br />sideration to save tree. Mr. TischTer moved to place in <br />committee and to wait for surveyor from Westlake. Mrse <br />Eian seconded and motion passed with four affirmative voteso <br />VIo <br />VIIo <br />Communications <br />Letter from Mayor Christman was read. It is letter of inquiry <br />regarding disposition of lot in residential district vacated by <br />city. Mr. Prokasy recommended to Council and the Administration <br />lot at Oring and Azalea formerly used for treatment plan be ad- <br />vertised for bids for sale. Mr. Tischler seconded and motion <br />passeda <br />Mr. Geisser's letter regarding housing for elderly was referred <br />to committee. <br />Committee Re-corts <br />(a) Mrs. Eian gave Housing Committee report. She and Mr. El- <br />liott had attended meeting with BZD Committee of Council. <br />Barton Center information was distributed. <br />Mr. Tischler said there should be high standards for el- <br />derly housing. Any building over 50 ft. must have sprinkl.ers <br />- this from state fire marshal's office. <br />(b) Recreation CQmmittee <br />Mr. Tischler and Mr. Elliott attended April 17 meeting at <br />which lir. Koster made new proposal with changes. May 4 is <br />next meeting. <br />VIII. <br />IXo <br />(c) Zoning Ordinance Review Committee <br />Mx. Prokasy said there is to be meeting May 6 at 7:30 p,.m. <br />at City Hall. Mro Prokasy is Planning Commission represen- <br />tative. <br />New Business - Mr. Wilamosky said letter to Clerk of Council should <br />be written each time Planning Commission makes recom- <br />mendations. <br />Adjournment - Absent members were excused.
