Biskind is requesting rezon- ing for creation of a classification for low income housing for elder].y. The Interfaith group has approved the plans unofficially. Planning Commission needs definition of the request (preferably in writing) and/or draft of a classifi- cation for its Housing Committee. Legal description of boundaries and site plan are also needed by the committee for study. Joint session between Council and Planning Com- mission is necessary for sol.idification of ideas in order to define such a zone, including size of area, size of suites, and parking requirements. Such zoning is non existant at pre- sent. lTr. Tischler said his thinking is influenced by dis- tance of a hospital. Other developments of this nature were mentioned. Mrs. Zipp, in audience, mentioned Section 23 re- quires open bidding. Mr. Prokasy moved the Chairman of the Planning Commission set date for BZD Council Committee and members of Planning Commission for work session to try to put into form a proposal. Mr. Tischler seconded and motion passed unanimously. 8 copies of plans are to be provided by Mr. Biskind. Date of June 24 is suggested for preliminary planning meeting with BZD. V. New Developments and Subdivisions - No Items VI. Communications Mr. Huntington from the audience inquired concerning a 5 year plan. He mentioned auto dealerships and used car lots. Mr. Prokasy ex- plained present zoning code. Mr. Ernest said Regional Planning Commission conducted housing study with no recommendat-ion for housing for elderly. Ordinances 74-64 and U-63 re rezoning of City Line Subdivision have been referred back to Planning Commission for approval. Mr. Prokasy moved Planning Commission recommend adoption of the two ordinances. Mrs. Eian seconded and motion passed. Other Communications - Letter from Stotter? Familo, Cavitch, Elden & Durkin Co., L.P.A., having to do with rezoning of Mastick., was received the day after the last Planning Commission meeting; Air- port expansion hearing noti.ce from Mayor Christman; Letter from Counci7.man Geisser regarding meeting June 26. VTI. Committee Reports (a) Recreation Committee - Nir. Tischler reported the ad hoc com- mittee had concluded its meetings with the approval of a set of plans. There was question as to whether or not the pro.- posal has to come back before Planning Commission. The May 14 minutes of Planning Commission reflect it is necessary with respect to acquisition of land and building. (b) Mr. Geisser's request for recommendation of Planning Commission in regard to comprehensive plan was reviewed. Date is needed
