l PLANNING corMTSSZON July 23, 1974 I. Roll Call Chairman Richards called the meeting to order at 8:02 p.m. Present: Chairman Richards, Secretary Tischler, Messrse Davis Prokasy and Elliot,t and Mrs. Fian. Also Fresent: Mr. McDermott, Acting City Engineer, Mr. Gareau Iaw Director, Mr. Gundy,Building Commissioner, Mrso Hodgins, Recording Secretary and Council- men Sharpe and Goggin. II. Review and Correction of Minutes Mr. Prokasy moved June 11, 1974 minutes be approved as distrubut- ed. Mr. Tischler seconded. Messrs. Richards, Tischler, Davis, Prokasy and Elliott all voted to approve. Mrs. Eian abstained from voting. Date for next meeting. Mr. Davis moved to suspend first meeting in August and to hold meeting for business as usual on second meeting date in August. August 27, 1974 is date for next regular meeting of Planning Commission, Motion seconded and passed, IIT. Building Department (a) Old Requests - No Items (b) New Requests Nlr. Gundy presented parking plans for Sambols Restaurant to be located on Lorain Rd. between MeDonald's and Kuhlman Olds. 52 parking spaces are required and provided. Discussion in- cluded location of driveway, type of restaurant, easements to Mill Rd. (20 ft. for sewer and 30 ft. for driveway, over- lapping) and possibility of gas wells on property. After careful examination of plans Mr, Elliott moved to approve plan for parking with increase in width of driveway as modi- fied by developer. Mr. Davis seconded. More discussion fol- lowed and Mr. Davis called the question.. Motion to approve with modification passed unanimously, IV. Old Business (a) Columbia Village (North Side of Lorain, i,rest of Columbia) Mr. Gundy read Ord. 62-33 Section 1204.02. There is satis- faction with a11 requirements of the section except traffic study. Mr. Gundy has one copy of traffic plan.
